Lovely friendly staff, fantastic food and a very reasonable rate

Beyond a loose loo seat in our room, there was nothing that gave rise to any concerns.

Location was ideal for our purpose, while the food, including the breakfast, were excellent. The staff were also exceptional, being both friendly and very professional, while Barney (the dog) was a total bonus!

The lady owner was an absolute star, we didn’t mean to let her know about something but she heard us at breakfast & she was sorry to hear this. It actually wasn’t anything important. But she gave us breakfast on the house. What a diamond lovely place lovely food lovely person. Would highly recommend.

The bathroom was very clean, but maybe needs a refreshment. Kitchen of the restaurant closes too early for our standards, which can be e problem if you arrive late.

Convenient parking, welcoming staff and dog (Barney), reasonable WiFi, very clean, nice breakfast, excellent restaurant, very well kept garden. Room was very comfortable with everything you need. Staff provided EU-power adapters. We were two families, and our rooms were side by side, as we requested.

A few niggles on maintenance that we’ve advised the property about directly. Nothing major. It is showing signs of needing a bit of TLC but its 3* rated and nothing detracted from stay.

Perfect location as we wanted somewhere central to explore attractions around Wilts, Oxfordshire & Somerset but in a more rural location. Breakfast was excellent, delicious full English and good choice of other options. Note, breakfast is extra so you have the flexibility to eat out if you prefer. Bedroom v spacious with double and a single bed plus a sofa & desk area. Good WiFi (tho poor tv signal beyond the basic 5 options). Very welcoming We didn’t eat dinner at the hotel or enjoy the bar as we got back too late each day, but was always v busy in the evenings. Bar tends to close early - presume when last person leaves - we’d hoped to catch a drink on last night but was closed at 10.30. Plenty of parking. Easy to come and go as we pleased.

Bathroom could use a bit of a touch up, but was ok for the rest.

Staff was superfriendly, both for the hotel as in the pub. Food in the pub and the breakfast was really good, with fresh fruits, tea and the option to have an English breakfast. It was a room with a lot of light and a good (but rather small 😄) bed. Ample parking space and easy to reach.

The property is in a beautiful location, Royal Wooten Basset. When you pull up in the car park the hotel and grounds take your breath away, you're greeted by Barney their gorgeous puppy. Jo and Rob and the rest of the staff are fantastic and go above and beyond, you're treated like family. This was our second visit and we'll be going again next year

Entrance and exit was near a corner requiring caution when approaching or leaving the property.

Breakfast was good, staff friendly and location good for our excursion.

Had a fantastic few days here staff and manger was so welcoming and the food was incredible you get what you pay for and I fell in love with Barney the dog he greeted us every morning and night will definitely stay there again

Nothing! It was quite remote so if you’re not driving then it’s one to avoid but since we were driving it was great.

Really lovely room, well decorated and comfy bed. Water on the side tables and great selection of tea and coffee. The pub downstairs was very cute too and the food was really lovely!

Found the tv in the room was slightly too small but this is our preference when watching sports e.g tennis

Comfortable bed, ample parking, friendly staff and resident dog. Requested hair dryer and iron and these were provided for us in the room. Lovely breakfast too.

Great place for stay, very hospitable, with everyday room service and optional meals at the place. Our every need was fulfilled, even an iron was provided to deal with our wrinkled clothes. Exceptional quality for that price, and to top all that a friendly dog to welcome the guests
