Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomExternal appearance of the hotel, looked like a hostel or something. When you go in the main hallways look a bit strange and didn't feel of a high standard. Narrow corridors When we left the following morning there were people sat outside our bedroom on the floor, who we assumed were cleaners waiting for us to leave but this was a bit strange. The sound proofing between the floors is poor, we were woken really early by the person in the room above us being sick, very loudly for ages.
Room design. Facilities in the room. Location.

United KingdomNothing really. It was all great.
We originally planned to stay in a hotel just over the road, but after checking in and going to our room, we had to cancel and book somewhere else (it was definitely a poor hotel). This hotel was a stark contrast; had easy and quick check-in - we had to speak to the staff as we booked so late and didn’t get an access code, but they were very quick to help and were very lovely - the room was beautifully lit, the decor was superb and modern, the bed was incredibly large and comfy and despite being a room on the bottom floor (which usually puts me off), it didn’t make a difference as the windows were blurred and so it felt very private but still had natural light to enter too. The bathroom facilities were great and modern. The sink was a tad small but honestly wasn’t that much of a problem. There were coat hooks, bed stands and a little table for us both to use. I would 100% stay here again and plan on doing so on any new excursions to Brighton; not to mention it’s in a superb location if you like being in the heart of the city. Obviously it was more than we wanted to pay (and we actually never got a refund for the other hotel so paid just under £200 for the two together) but you certainly do get what you pay for, which we have learnt.

United KingdomLots of narrow stairs that could be a problem for some people.
Cosy room that was clean and comfortable. Nice and central and close to sea front. The fridge and microwave a good addition, plus plates, cutlery and bottle opener/corkscrew. Easy online checkin and cardless entry.

United KingdomNot the accommodation's fault but something to be aware is that if you're in room 2, you'll get to hear every time someone enters and leaves the building as it's by the entrance and window is just opposite a bar where they play loud music until late. They did leave ear plugs in the room, which were really helpful.
Good location (1 min to the sea), comfortable bed, clean, easy check-in and out, good amenities.

United KingdomFor someone who likes to style their hair on a daily basis, it would have been nice to have a plug socket near the full-length mirror, which was on the back of the bathroom door, just so I could style my hair in front of it. As it was, I needed to do it blindly, but it wasn't exactly a huge issue.
Location was perfect! I liked how easy it was to check in and the bed was super comfortable. The amenities were lovely; Biscoff biscuits (my favourite), coffee, tea and a fridge for my personal use. Shower pressure was great. And I really loved that it came with shower gel, shampoo & conditioner, which I wasn't expecting.

United KingdomShower head a bit blocked, as was the drain so built up a bit - whole thing needed a deep clean in nooks and crannies. Never saw any staff so no personal touch though did have a text to check ok and re WiFi. Curb appeal non existent... buy yourselves a new door or paint it !
Really comfy, room was warm on entry, door access worked flawlessly, location was great, phone charge sockets a life saver.

United KingdomRoom had everything we needed, comfy bed and hot shower, and the fridge and microwave came in useful. We stayed on a Sunday so it was pretty quiet, but they supply ear plugs and eye masks which is a thoughtful addition. View out of window not great but we stayed for the location not the view. Door code made it easy to get in and out, and not have to worry about losing the key...

United KingdomWe didn't like that we were all very separate in the building. One of our friends had the bedroom at the very top of the building while the rest of us were ground floor. It was also not very clean, there was so much dust you could write in it, the cups were also very filthy and we had to wash them all up before using them.
We loved how modern it was and how amazing the decor was. We were also very impressed with the big room 1. It was great having they living room area so we were able to get ready together and mingle. Absolutely LOVED how central it was, we were within walking distance to absolutely everywhere and didn't need to pay for any cabs.

SpainAcross the street, there is a nightclub, and 2 bars, that make it impossible to sleep. I was there for 4 nights and I couldn't sleep at all even with earplugs the hotel provides. Heavy heavy noise and people partying right on your window until at least 4:00 am. there is a lot of noise in the corridors at night too with people going out and coming late (sometimes drunk). The hotel has a line you can call if you are disturbed by other guests but it's not useful in this situation. The hotel is amazing and the staff it's friendly but sadly I'll not come back.
Great location. The room n2 has a comfortable big double bed. Very good shower and towels. Spacious enough for two people. The coffee machine, the kettle, the microwave, and the mini fridge are a plus.
