There were a lot of daddy long leg spiders (I'm not a huge fan). Also, the room was kind of damp after showering because I didn't want to open the window due to the bugs outside. But overall, these were small things that would not deter us from staying again.

The room was so cute and quaint. My boyfriend and I enjoyed how cozy the room was and all the service that was provided by the owner. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of seating and storage. I loved that there was a towel warmer and a clothes rack, it made drying out clothes much easier.

I thought it was a little bit overpriced in general, but not for Isle of Skye.

We got a welcome email that included everything to know about the property but did not include parking instructions -- I had to call the owner and ask for them which she mentioned are in the room but I don't see why those instructions wouldn't just be in the email! We almost parked illegally thinking the lot across the street was for the hotel. It was nice that someone came into the room to refresh the coffee and give a little tidy to our room, however they moved our towels and so neither my friend or I knew which shower towel was ours. Unless the hotel is going to provide new towels, I feel there is no reason to move our towels and this felt like a breach to my personal space. They also opened the window which again felt out of place as I had very valuable items in the room.

I liked how personal and thoughtful the room and the property felt. We stayed in the Grant room which is the maiden name of Joan MacLeod's mother. The other room is The MacLeod and both had the clan's plaid design used in the room. It's right by the sea and just felt like a cute and special little place. We had a welcome breakfast basket left for us too which was thoughtful.

The continental breakfast provided in room was not thoroughly checked between guests and some items had expired.

The room was bigger than the pictures suggested. The bed was comfy. The upholstery and fittings were well put together, clean and cared for. Proper ground coffee was provided.

Overall there wasn’t much to be critical of. If I was forced to come up with a dislike, it would have to be no air conditioner. We are from the Deep South in the US where AC is everything. Even sleeping with the window open, one night the bedroom didn’t get as cold as we would have liked but again this is super minor!

The location was perfect for what we wanted to do on the Isle of Skye. The thoughtful snacks and breakfast items were delightful and greatly appreciated. The room was decorated very cutely and we loved reading about Ms. Joan’s family history.

There was a quaintness to the accommodation that one would expect. All requirements, including bathroom, were adequate with casual, but warm decor Very generous with breakfast range and with tea/coffee requirements and options

As they say and warn you before booking, the room has no views, which is a pity since it is in such a nice location by the sea.

The fact that we had breakfast available in the room ( a big basket full of food and local treats) and a mini fridge made the mornings easier and we didn't need to be in a rush to get to breakfast time like in other places do, it had a small breakfast bar and all treats available. Also, being dog friendly made it very easy for us to travel worry-free. There are only two bedrooms ensuite available which makes it very private and comfortable, specially when you are travelling with a dog. The history of the rooms' names ( available on the guests welcome book) is a lovely way to honour the family history of the owner and have a better idea of the lifestyle of the island and traditions. The room was very clean and had all the necessary stuff you needed tl have a lovely stay at the marvelous Isle of Skye.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay. The location was great for me as I had a day trip on a boat which was only about 15 minutes drive from from Blas. Host was very friendly and made me feel very welcome. There is no actual parking at the place but you can leave your car in front of the café. The room has a tasteful décor, the shower was great and bed is super comfy.

Parking out front on the street was a little concerning, but we didn’t have any problems. Room is quite small especially to eat continental breakfast.

Nice location, very quiet. Nice little restaurant out front, good food. Be sure to book dinner reservations in Dunvegan asap. Most restaurants were booked long before we got to town. Everything closes early. Good job on decorating.
