We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomI emailed ahead of time regarding an inquiry, and I never received a reply. The room was not cleaned well, there were dirty marks on the duvet cover, and there was hair on the bathroom sink and in the bath. The toilet was not flushing properly. It had to be flushed 2 ir 3 times. The welcome book was sticky, which is not pleasant to touch, and the plastic on the information poster on the back of the door is cracked. Also, the toilet roll holder was broken. For £175 I paid, I'd expect the roo. To be cleaner and all the snagging done, like the frame and holder in good condition.
The staff were wonderful, the bed was comfortable, and the location beautiful.

United KingdomTV channels were rubbish. And on our 2nd night, there was a large private party in the building adjacent to us. They had a live, loud band, which didn't stop until nearly midnight. It would have been nice if somebody had told us about it, so we could have made alternative plans.
Room was very spacious and comfortable. En suite was large and had a great walk in shower. All very clean. Location was good, handy for Hay on Wye. Breakfasts were very good and varied.

United KingdomThe room was small and over priced for the size. No reception host to greet and meet us upon arrival. The envelope left on the side board with room number, key and instructions was helpful but personal touch is better.
Comfortable bed, good breakfast, clean room, lovely warm shower, beautiful country side, nice touch at breakfast with additional provision of herbal tea and extra toast on request. Nice that biscuits and water were provided in the room. Liked the checking out time of 11am which allows you adequate time to relax and pack.

United KingdomGreat shame that there is currently no bar or restaurant facilities available. The property is really set up to offer guests the full experience and it was a shame to have to go out and find dinner elsewhere. Fingers crossed for the future.
Great looking building in a remote location. Plenty of parking. Comfortable room with everything we needed for a night stop at the beginning of a road trip. Wonderful breakfast served by friendly staff. The forecast for the day was hot and humid and the kitchen staff offered cold water for our onward journey. This was so kind and demonstrated exceptional empathy.

United KingdomNo one there to greet us in fact no reception area. Envelope containing information needed and room key left on a side board. The room was lovely and clean in general but when plugging in a charger I noticed that there were loads of cobwebs behind the headboard and skirtings next to headboard very dusty. People who were in the room above us came in at 1.30am and you could hear everything in our room but saying this if they had come in earlier we may not have noticed.
A beautiful area. Quiet surroundings with parking. The room was lovely, with a comfortable bed and modern bathroom. The breakfast was spot on with plenty of options and the waitress was lovely and nothing was to much trouble
