We weren’t told there was a karaoke night on that evening, and our bedroom was directly above the speakers and it was pure torture! Mainly because I had a stinking headache and we had gone back to the hotel early to go to bed and rest. That was impossible with the noise coming up through the floor. We asked to be moved but were told the hotel was fully booked. I know that wasn’t true: we were the only guests there. But to be fair, the event ended as promised by 1130 and the rest of our stay was lovely. The breakfast was fantastic- but real (not instant) coffee would have made it even better!

Had to turn on bedroom radiator as room was cold. One breakfast a little disappointing.Muffins with the Eggs Benedict appeared to to have been microwaved and not toasted making them tough.

There was some mould at the base of the shower which could be removed easily or regrouted. This spoilt the otherwise lovely shower room.

The location was about 25mins from where I needed to be in Peterborough but the rate was better than town hotels. Good sized room clean. Plenty of parking

Have stayed here several times but our room was a little tired, shower riser broken, dressing table broken - although they were aware and in the throws of replacing. It can be noisy at this time of year with party season, but we knew this from previous stays and just bring ear plugs!!

water pressure was not very good on shower, and it needs to be replaced with a better head as it was not good enough, it also would be better if there was a radiator towel rail in bathroom as it was cold in there it’s ok in summer but not in winter, as you cannot dry your towels after showering, also the restaurant was rather cold especially in the morning having breakfast, we have stayed before but it was in summer we just stayed the one night last time so did not use the shower but now it does won’t updating

3 Sky lights in the ceiling, none had blinds, so it was very light at sunrise, which in high summer is too early for me. Kettles needs changing as my coffee tasted of lime scale. Food was fantastic but instant coffee for breakfast? A filter coffee machine aren't that expensive.

We really liked all that the Black Horse offered. The staff were very pleasant. Always smiling and doing their best to feel to make us welcome and valued. We were not impressed by the location of the hotel, however suited our purposes as we were close to what we wanted to see.

The breakfast was ordered from a very restricted menu However the quality and standard of the food was exceptional. The evening menu was extensive and as we were there on a Thursday we qualified for steak night. Good steaks at an incredibly good price. The BBQ ribs were outstanding on our second night.
