Amazing staff, warm, friendly and efficient. Attention to detail throughout the whole hotel was really impressive. The food was superb, and staff in the restaurant were a total credit to the hotel. We felt like valued guests, and that’s such a rare thing to feel these days.

This is a great hotel which we stumbled on, only staying one night. We would love to have stayed longer. It is a return in our books. It is superbly run and we would recommend it to fellow travellers. Chloe who checked us in was extremely helpful and an asset to the organisation.

Freestanding bath much too long for me 5’4. Shower in bath with strange semi circular surround. Not suitable for me and husband age 70+. Rather long wait on dinner courses.

The room was really hot and we got given a couple of fans from receptions which helped. It was the only hot days of the year in the uk so unlikely to be an issue for anyone .

The tables were a little close in the dining room -particularly at dinner, the EV charger as a 13amp plug was poor but the staff told us that new charging facilities were being installed

The Room was excellent, the spa facilities were great liked the outdoor pool until the rain came! Breakfast and Dinner in the dining room was what we would expect for a quality establishment

As an old building some aspects of our room could do with a bit of an update and the floors were a bit creaky (could hear the people above) but it’s kind of expected in such an old building.

Every single member of staff was excellent, so thoughtful and kind (as we had our 3 month baby with us). Amazing customer service (e.g offering to keep my food warm when I had to leave and change the baby and having our dessert sent to our room). The hotel and grounds are so cool and the food at the restaurant really fresh, grown on site. Great spa too and had a fantastic massage there.

The only thing we found was that the room was very warm and we couldn’t get the aircon fan working that effectively.

we arrived early (about 2pm) room not ready but that was fine, however when we asked to use the outside pool we were told we could sit by it but not go in it -thats a little ridiculous in my opinion. bottled water from outside bar very expensive

beautiful grounds and the kitchen garden is wonderful we had a delicious afternoon tea with local friends lovely breakfast very friendly (except see below ) staff

We couldn’t find anywhere to sit by the pool and the times that kids were allowed in the pool was not monitored. The staff didn’t seem to care if you couldn’t find a seat.

The pools for this standard of hotel bath indoor and outdoor need total refurbishment or replacing as well as the open air hot tub . We visited two years ago and felt the same.

A warm welcome back. Such a lovely small country house. Excellent staff attentive without being intrusive .superb standard of food. Gardens beautiful and tranquil. Artwork thought provoking.

The room was excellent, amazing sun terrace and personal jacuzzi very well maintained grounds. Loved the style of a sharing platter for breakfast and food in general was very well presented.
