We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United StatesWe booked this hotel late because our other hotel did not work out for us. The late night staff was exceptional. We had a rental car and got in a small fender bender on the roundabout in front of hotel. The 2 man staff was extremely helpful in sorting through our accident. We are from the US and we're not sure how this was handled in UK. We arrived after midnight and the staff answered our questions and quickly got us in our room. It was comfortable and clean. United KingdomOn this occasion I felt that the breakfast room could have been a bit better organized, it was quite congested. The food was very good though. It was disappointing that last orders at the bar was at 11.00pm. It was Edgbaston Test Match cricket weekend and it would have been nice to have been able to have been served a bit later.
The room was excellent. I have stayed in this hotel on a number of occasions and the rooms are always very good. They are very spacious and airy. The same can be said for the bathroom too. I am usually coming to Birmingham either for an event at the University of Birmingham or for a cricket match, and the location of this hotel is perfect for my purposes.

United KingdomI stayed on a particularly hot August day and was disappointed that the air conditioning in the room didn't work. Staff clearly knew this was the case as they had put a standing fan in the room instead. None of the windows opened, so it was impossible to get fresh air into the room. This made sleeping uncomfortable. The £50 deposit has still not cleared from my card, 10 days / 6 business days later. I probably wouldn't stay again next time I work in Birmingham as the sleep quality was poor due to the air conditioning issues.
The hotel is clean and the room had all advertised amenities. The bathroom was particularly impressive. Staff at the check-in desk were friendly and processed the check-in very fast. I liked the coffee and water provided in the room.

This hotel has a lot of character and fits Marriott's standards well. The rooms are well-maintained, and the hotel is extremely clean. The hotel location was ideal, with tram, metro, and bus stations in the direct surroundings. I also appreciated the flexibility demonstrated by the hotel staff. We had to shorten our stay and leave one day earlier for London. They accommodated my demand with no additional charges—a pleasant experience.
