Very outdated needs alot of work to bring it up to a good standard, very run down in certain places and needs a good paint up and lot of plumbing work. And some ceilings needing repairs, but it's a grade to build which is up for sale, I hope some one buys it and turns it back to its formal Glory, as I feel the company has let it get run down The gardens in diyer needs of a good prune and grass cutting. not the staff thought o,

Very good location, fantastic listed grade 2 building with history. Staff was polite and food was good. Good open space for kids.

The old adage applies, don't judge a book by its cover. The building is very "tired" & could do with money spending on it, but as a Grade 2 listed building this would make it exceedingly expensive. But if you look past the cosmetics it is a very nice, reasonably priced hotel.

The staff were friendly & helpful. The bedroom were large, clean & comfortable. The food was excellent. Plenty of room for the dog, who was allowed in all areas.

Room was badly set out. TV on a side wall so couldn’t really be used. Dirty and old carpet. Paintwork peeling etc just all a bit tired.

Location and price fine. Good breakfast. Pleasant staff.

The staff make up for the dodgy water taps (we still got a fab jacuzzi bath going!) and wilting decor with their charm and care.

What a beautiful old building. Lots of character and if someone can buy it and spend money to return it to its glorious past, it’ll be knock out again.

The place has lots of potential but seems to be a bit run down. It looks like money hadn’t been spent on its upkeep for quite some time.

The building, although clean , was tired looking , and some of the bedroom furniture looked the same way . ( I stayed in room 5 ) The window in my bedroom didn't close firmly ( although I'll admit that this gave the advantage of me being woken by birdsong ......never a bad thing !!) and the curtains wouldn't close fully . Bathroom taps could do with being replaced too .

The staff were extremely good , friendly without being intrusive, and very helpful . Nothing was too much trouble . There was an efficient and relaxed atmosphere. The food was also very good. Tasty and freshly cooked , and value for money . I couldn't fault the cleanliness especially for what looks like an old building.

Nice and clean. Very quiet of a night time. Lovely and warm-not at all stingy with the heating. Had the option of a bath or shower
