Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe room in the lower basement had overhead window, however it could not be opened; alternative - AC (good when it is hot!).
Really BIG room, lots of space. The coffee machine gave up, only got Americano coffee; black tea always a good option. Hotel really just across the tube station. Public parking lot close by.

United StatesThe first impression was not great because the carpets in the hallways and the room were badly stained. I also didn't appreciate that absolutely everything was an upsell. Website said some rooms in the size I had booked had fridges. When I inquired at check in, I was told I would have to upgrade to a larger room. My biggest pet peeve is that on the one day I asked for my room to be made up, it wasn't done until after 5pm. I spent all afternoon trying to stay away to let them get the work done since the room is tiny but really would have liked to have had a nap after a full morning of touring about.
Super close to an underground station, cafes and markets. Bathroom was very clean and the shower was a good size. AC kept the room comfortable. Staff at the front desk was welcoming and accommodating.

AustraliaShower operations not straightforward, bathroom is tiny.
Helpful staff, proximity to the tube & ease of travelling from Heathrow (but there are no lifts at Northfields station). Decent breakfast. Comfortable bed. It's not flash but it's located near lovely parks, great selection of restaurants & handy supermarkets. The book exchange at the station is a welcome bonus the community library is also worth a visit. The presence of a microwave and second sink was gold ( but there's no cutlery or crockery).

New ZealandThe first room we had was on the quiet side of the building but the bathroom was very small. We stayed in a larger room for our second stay. It was on the train line side of the building but after the first couple of nights we stopped using earplugs. The carpets in the hallways are a bit shabby but staff were always cleaning them.
The hotel is well located, being about halfway between Heathrow airport and the West End. We stayed here for two nights when we arrived in England then went elsewhere for several weeks then returned for a longer stay. We also stayed here last year. It is very close to the train station and has very helpful pleasant staff members. If/when we're next in London we'll certainly consider staying here again.

United KingdomI am leaving high marks - but please adjust your expectations. This hotel does not aim to be a 5 star destination hotel. For what it tries to do - it does it well, but if you wanted a bit of luxury - you may need to book something else. One of the chairs was a little wobbly - possibly just a screw that needs tightening - a small fridge may be a good optional extra, a complimentary bottle of water may be a also a nice touch. Just my vote - the future of clean travel may mean no carpet in the room - even a high end linoleum will be easy to bleach after every visit. That last remark applies to 80 percent of all hotels though. For a quick stay in London - especially if this was not a treat - but a required stay - business or other travel - this hotel does fit the bill..
The location is perfect - just outside Northfields tube station. The reason I booked is to have a stop-over and sleep as my journey was long. For that purpose the hotel is great. The room I was in was big and spacious - something rare in London. Hot water as soon as you open the shower. Clean bathroom. There is a light noise from the road - but it is not too bad at all.

Overall our stay in hotel was pretty good. We get discount of breakfast and that I find good value for the money. Location was right across tube station of Piccadilly line. Staff was very helpful too. We got evening we asked for (we didn't much, but still we get everything we asked for :)) I find this relay good value for the price. Room was very spacious, but as windows could not open, ventilation was difficult which could be problem for longer stay
