Bathroom, specifically the shower

Its perfectly fine, does the job but not much more to say about it really. You never see any staff, distance to the town is good. Bed was fine and they provide extra blankets and a hot water bottle. The bathroom is great and the water pressure is pretty terrible with very slow response showers. If i could suggest 1 thing to improve this from a 5 to a 7 or 8 out of ten, sort the water pressure. Value for money is fine, the area is inherently expensive.

Kettle needs replaced as there was a layer of something at the bottom of it that was coming off and not something you want to ingest.. the rooms could do with some small uplifts to make it feel a bit fresher and cleaner.

The bathroom and the room in general could be a little bit cleaner. There was plenty of dust in the tables, corners of the bathroom… That is the only thing we didnt like that much.

The check in/out process was easy and convenient. The owner answered quickly to our questions and the room was quite comfy. We found everything we needed for our quick stay.

As mentioned by other reviewers, you don't get breakfast and really don't get to see your hosts at all (not a problem for us but if you're looking for a more hospitable experience then you might be disappointed). The shower pressure was also crazy high, contrary to what previous reviewers had said, almost hurting our skins haha!

The room was perfect for what we needed it for - we went for a weekend long hiking holiday. The hotel is convenient, with a good location, comfy beds, and seamless self check-in, check-out system. All very convenient!

The cleaner was far too intense for me. And the walls were made out of paper, so you could hear people in the room next to you. Far too many banging and weird vibration noises on a night, made sleeping difficult. The cleaner would be walking about opening a squeaky door at 6am! Up and down the hallway waking you up. Kinda ruined my trip because I ended up being so tired. Everything else was okay.

Location was spot on, rooms clean, price reasonable. Replenished coffee and milk every two days.

Very dirty in places, like the cleaner was just very lazy, not doing their job. But when I complained about this, I was very satisfied with the response and compensation (perhaps the owners were unaware). Also, unpleasant smell pervading the place, especially in the corridors, like a mixture of smoking and cooking smells, which they will probably only get rid of by replacing/removing the carpets on stairs and in corridors (the smell doesn't seem too bad at first, but it gets more noticeable). And some unsightly and worn bits (e.g. sealant in bathroom). Going for a budget place, you have to expect some issues (and you shouldn't expect it to be suitable for a romantic trip), and I would say this is good value for money except for the cleanliness issue, which is unacceptable, but I expect they can easily rectify this, and probably will based on my communications about the issue.

Great location in easy walking distance of Fort William pubs and restaurants, close to good walks and almost as close as you can get to Ben Nevis, lovely view (from front 1st floor room), comfortable beds. The best for budget in the area.

The price seemed high considering it was a room only rate. A fan would have been nice as it was warm even with the window open. The shower compartment was tiny, it would have been better to a walk in shower and something to prevent the room flooding given how little space was available.

Check in was easy, the bed was comfortable and there was additional coffee left out downstairs to refill the room. The building is directly opposite the bus and train station and only a short walking distance to the town centre.

We stayed here 6 years ago. I know accommodations around the world went through some really challenging times but Berkeley house is in need of updates. It does not serve breakfast and the check in check out is more typical of an AirBnB experience. We never once saw or interacted with staff. I would stay here again, the price point and location are excellent, just know overall the place feels worn.

Location and cleanliness are two positives about Berkeley House.

Tiny bathroom, shower nozzle wouldn't stay up, despite being a B&B no breakfast as surprisingly covid restrictions still in place. Front door latch didn't lock.

Beds were very comfortable, location great and good parking provided. Remote checkin details given in advance which were easy to follow.
