The guest house is only 10 min walk from the ferry terminal, and close to a number of shops and restaurants. Allan was very welcoming and helpful, and the room was comfortable with everything you need. The breakfast was really fantastic. Will choose stay here if I visit Arran again.

If I could give the Belvedere 11/10 , I would. Everything about this accommodation was exactly as stated and more. The rooms were very well appointed and comfortable, the showers nice and hot; the breakfasts were very good and choices well thought out, nothing was any trouble, and with a big breakfast you didn't need much lunch. It was lovely sitting in dining room and watching little birds at the bird feeders on the windows. The location meant the front rooms had beautiful views of the bay, and walking distance to restaurants bars and pubs, and co-op for shopping. Lounge room for all to enjoy and Allan a very lovely host.

Our 3 night stay wasn't long enough.

Allan was super friendly, and the vegetarian breakfast was exceptional. The room had a gorgeous sea view and was very comfortable, with a generous selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate.

No parking and not easy to get space nearby but wouldn't really need a car as close to ferry and bus stop. Some noise from radiator but not a huge problem.

A clean and comfortable room with everything necessary for a short stay. Very convenient for bars and restaurants and the village centre. A big breakfast which kept me going until dinner at night.

Ideal location within walking distance of ferry terminal, shops and the beach. Charming Guest house with a very friendly and helpful host. Beautiful garden and sweet single room with big bath. Great homecooked breakfast.

Alan is a fabulous, unique character who loves what he is doing. Running the business together with his mum, he cooks the most delicious breakfast with lots of ingredients from his own garden. Our room was nicely decorated and we felt homely from the very first moment. The view from our room onto the bay was breathtaking. Thank you so much for your hospitality, Alan! The guest house is up a slope, I am a bilateral amputee and found it difficult to access the property. However that is no fault of the owner

The host was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and there was plenty on the plate and the choice was excellent. Comfortable bed, I slept really well.i had a private separate bathroom/toilet which is spacious and right next to my room, so is well located
