Bedroom very warm during a warm weekend - although it was notified there was a current issue with air-conditioning in the building.

Clean and professional hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent pool and spa facilities. Plenty of parking. Good food and drink. Sunny outdoor garden area.

Window in our room had dirt in and a snail on the window... and the back of the toilet didn't seem tk be sweets. Also feel the car parl near outside room.cpuld do with a tidy up

You need a car to move around. There are no restaurants, cafes, or shops around.

The floor of my room didn’t look like it had been swept/vacuumed from the last person who stayed, so we felt a little uncomfortable without our shoes on. Also, I paid for a garden view room and the view looked straight onto the side of the pool building, so it wasn’t the view I paid for (- bride & bridesmaids - getting ready for the wedding so we wanted a nice background in the photos). The pool and spa facilities haven’t changed from many years ago when I was last there, it could definitely do with a spruce up! Also, the rooms inside the hotel need some TLC.

The reception staff were very friendly and the waiters in the restaurant were super. The food and cocktails in the restaurant were also great. My room (other than the cleanliness of the floor) was great, very nicely decorated.

Breakfasts and dinners good range of items/meals. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room comfortable. Cleaned and drinks replenished daily. Swimming pool area good although some of chairs need repairing/replacing.

If you’re short, trying to reach round the shower screen to put the bath plug in and put the taps on was really difficult. My husband is 1.72m tall and he struggled. We found the mattress on the bed a little too firm . Minor points all in all !

Set in lovely surroundings, the hotel had a really ornate interior. The garden room we stayed in was nice, but the door had privacy screening so you couldn’t look out onto the private patio. A net that could be moved aside would be better . And the chairs outside hadn’t been made ready , which would have been good rather than important. The swimming pool was warm and easy to get into. ( I’m disabled) The staff were fantastic!

On closer inspection there is quite a bit of room for improvement. The standard of cleaning was average, swimming pool changing area floor always a bit dirty and the same sticky stuff on the walls for 3 days. Shower head broken. Garden furniture legs broken, table in room wobbly, all sockets switched off and behind furniture...the list of little errors goes on and on. Would need a fresh pair of eyes to give it the once over.

Restaurant on site, swimming pool, room with garden access, generous room size. Overall it is a nice hotel, looks pompous with it's furniture and gilding
