To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomHeated towel rail loose on the wall and hanging at an angle. Basin push plug not sealing properly so basin would not hold water. Would have expected housekeeping to have noticed these issues and reported them. Breakfast underwhelming considering price paid for the room.

United KingdomWe had to hang around for a pick up would have been nice to get a tea/coffee or soft drink in the bar while waiting as guests we were told bar doesn’t open untill 12 I think they said .
The property is in a good location . Rooms are lovely spacious and comfortable and bathroom we had was large with a separate bath and shower . Good selection of tea and coffee however they never leave enough milk as you need 2 per cup .

United KingdomWe found the barman a little rude on our first night. We called in for a drink at 9pm not knowing the bar shut at 10pm. When asking for a second drink at 9.45 he commented saying "another one !" If he had just been more polite and said the bar closes at 10pm . Then at 10.05pm he shouted "right I'm closing now please leave!"
Beautiful hotel . Comfortable rooms . Only downfall was the frosted glass window so you couldn't see outside or open a window. Good choices for breakfast

The location near to the tram station is excellent. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. The food very good both breakfast and lunch. The room was very clean and the advantage of a bath and separate shower was a bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay and have booked again for 5 weeks time when we need another overnight stop.
