Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe floorboards were very creaky!, but I guess that is to be expected in an old cottage.
A very nice cottage, right next to the river in Bewdley, great for visiting the Severn Valley Railway and Bewdley itself. A well equipped and very cosy cottage, had everything that we needed for a three night stay. Would definitely stay there again. Really liked it

United KingdomThe location of this well presented and pretty house is second to none, it is immediately on the river and very close to all of Bewdley's amenities. Bars and restaurants are a short walk away.

United KingdomWe found the settees to be quite narrow when trying to get comfy but appreciate that you are restricted in a small cottage. The bathroom floor was very creaky which is also understandable in an old property but could disturb people sleeping when being used in the night.
Location was ideal and beautiful by the river despite the high water levels. Close to local facilities and the safari park which was the main reason for our trip. We would like to come back to the area as we realised there is so much to see and do in the region. The cottage had everything you could need, was very clean and the beds were nice and comfortable.

United KingdomNothing it was great
We loved the location. You open the door, and the view of the river is beautiful. My little boy loved taking bread out and feeding the ducks. The cottage was clean, comfortable, and well kept. We liked that they had a bath as our two boys love their baths. It's so close to the safari park, which is where I wanted to take my son. We had a great time there and spent the full day. We also drove to Birmingham centre, which is about an hour. We went to think tank the science museum which he enjoyed and then shopping for me. Ludow town is lovely, which isn't far, and there is a huge castle. There is also a steam train running from Bewdley. Wish we had an extra couple of days. The owners are really friendly and we would 100% stay again.

United Kingdomwe thoroughly enjoyed waking up to a rowing regatta outside the window, however if you were looking for privacy the towpath might be a little close to you dining table window for some visitors.
it’s a lovely house, with the river outside the front door. Neighbours include the cafe, the pub, the ice cream shop, the chip shop all with out door seating when the sun is out.

United KingdomCreaky floorboards in bathroom (I know it's an old property but if they could just be secured down it would make such a difference, especially at night)
Beautiful, well-equipped cottage. Location is superb as front of cottage overlooking the river, so lovely to have a cup of coffee in hand watching the world go by. High Street with local facilities (e.g. restaurants, pubs (most are dog friendly), shops, church etc) within a 3 minute walk. Visited Ludlow for the horse racing and food festival, great couple of days out.

United KingdomBetter parking facilities. We didn’t realise we could park immediately outside as double yellow lines and so we were heaving our luggage from car park to apartment. I’ve stayed in similiar apartments on a high street and permits have been provided free of charge. It was disappointing to have to pay for parking for 3 days.
Location very good. Restaurants, shops, takeaway at our doorstep.
