The countryside surrounding it is marvellous. The cottage is gorgeous and super comfy. Anything we needed was there.

A beautiful stay! Cosy whilst still being big enough, had everything we needed, and clean. Sadly a bit too chilly when we stayed for us to make use of the beautiful garden space but meant we enjoyed the fire places :)

The downstairs double bedroom is cramped and we needed to overspill in to the next door back conservatory to store/use our suitcase, but OK for a week. The electric hob is a bit tired and struggled with heating food for seven. Only the large two plates really worked effectively. Just takes a bit longer than usual to cook. Neither of these would stop us from returning though. It's a great family home and base for the surrounding area.

It was so quiet. Only a short drive from Leek for supermarkets and fuel. Plenty of places to take an 8 year old who enjoyed the local little train ride, the family zoo and the caves. Great for family quality time plus decent Sky TV options included. Great heating though for all the rooms which warmed up quickly. We had a couple of questions by phone and the hosts were quick and friendly to respond well.
