Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomPillows were very uncomfortable, was actually in two pieces. Cocktail bar staff were overrun, restaurant staff forgot our water twice, the food was not cooked as we requested so we had to send it back. The breakfast was supposed to be sent to our room, as at the time of booking, however this was not actually available. Then , when we went to get breakfast, the tables were dirty and full of used items and food, other customers were clearing and cleaning tables! The spa was less than welcoming, so in the end we didn't use it. Overall the stay was very disappointing. We are Foster carers, on a rare night off and looking for a relaxing, papmering experience. However, we could have stayed in a budget hotel for the same experience. Going out to a restaurant would have been better than using the restaurant and cocktail bar. Similarly, going out for breakfast would have been the better option.
Room was good, reception staff were great, as were the restaurant staff. Beautiful views from the restaurant, it was great to walk down to the beach. Restaurant menu was great and food was eventually wonderful, after a lot of additional requests and sending food back.

United Kingdom1.I personally don't like and I'm feeling safe to share and make my booking faster as i recived e-mail from the Hotel Bedruthan Hotel&Spa to make the booking faster please click on the link below and add all the details and after i was getting other e-mails to go from here to there and add other informations making the thing very frustrating and making you to give up as customers to give up and cancel BUT you can't even Cancel to get a full refund so therefore i give 1/10. 2.The room without a sea view it's quite small for 2 people, the bed mattress wasn't comfortable so therefore 6/10. 3.Smoking policy quite ridiculous especially being a 4 Star hotel and what i mean here is,as a Smoker you are NOT Allowed on the terrace to have a drink and to smoke, also if you wish to smoke you will need to go on the entrance of the hotel and walk down to a designated place called smoking area what is a long way down to walk without even a bench or some chairs to sit down also you mightask Why you can't smoke just in the front of the hotel it's because they got electric charging points for electric cars so therefore i give 1/10. 4.The menu it self it's ridiculous because it's confusing and all you see it's the Name of the drink/food etc and a Number next to it without having the symbol-Example: £5 therefore i give 1/10. 5.The food depends on each person's preference of course, but here I'm sharing my opinion after spending £56.50 for:A soup, smoked almonds, main course Sirlion Stake and a tyny desert sized Tiramisu,No Drinks ordered! There is also mentioned a 10% discretion service charge to you bill, really? So therefore i ended to pay £66.15,with this said i give 1/10.
I will share my honest opinions and experiences to help others to know what they can expect and face booking to Bedruthan Hotel&Spa. What i did like about this 4 Star hotel was: 1. Beautiful location-Very close to the Beach and Ocean, even having facilities to walk down from the hotel and having access to get back with a Pin what the Reception gives you when you get you're room. 2.The Spa facilities are high quality, and i was really impressed 10/10. 3.All the Staff Members from the Hotel including also Reception was very friendly and Helpful. 4.The Room was very clean and modern. 5.The Breakfast was very good with a lot of options to choose from ,,buffet style".

United KingdomIt would be nice for the outdoor pool to beheated by solar. Indoor pool - the air was way too warm for the water temperature. The outside look of the hotek - reminds me of a 1960s school. The noise out the back from staff wheeling trollies either early AM or late PM isn't great.
Views of course wmare amazing. The interior decor. Bed was ŕeally good even in our basic room at the rear. Food also very good way better than the restaurant in town (Catch - don't bother going). Jacuzzi/Hydro pool top notch.

United KingdomExcellent location, fabulous sea view rooms, staff were friendly and very helpful, nothing was to much trouble. Nice walk to the beach, next to the south west costal path. We struggled with the food somewhat, it's wasn't really to our taste.

United KingdomThe only thing why I didn’t score 10/10 was, We were woken up at 6:30 from the room above, it was very loud and sounded like a heard of elephants. We were in room 19, right next to the stairs, so this also created a fair amount of noise. So our night away from the kids and first lie in for years, never materialised. Everything else on our stay was out of this world.
Facilities, service, location were absolutely fantastic.

United KingdomThe rooms say 'sound proof walls' but they weren't fully.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We had to move rooms as the room next door had their TV on loud and they were incredibly accommodating. Some views from the rooms have both the amazing sea view but also grubby roof view, so it's worth checking which room you're booking. The buffet breakfast and view was stunning and the bakery amazing.

United KingdomNothing. Guests that like a full english breakfast might be disappointed as this comes with an extra supplement.
Breakfast was delightful - freshly baked breads and local cheeses and excellent coffee - what more could you want? The room was compact (We stayed in the single rooms) but performed its purpose well. The restaurant was outstanding - the food was memorable and really championed earthy fresh flavours - and I cant wait to go back!

United KingdomA tad pricey, the turns on the shower in our room didn't actually work very well and we did explain to reception, which they were able to explain/fix. However even after this it was still not the easiest to use - which was a shame as there were two waterfall shower heads that we didn't get to use as a couple. It is a very small but when paying that much for the room per night it would have been best that the handles were not loose at all and easy to use. Luckily we ended up using the showers at the spa.
Excellent breakfast. Out of all the hotel breakfasts I would ensure I paid extra again for the continental breakfast - which was incredible. Staff were all so lovely, kind, calm and positive. From the clean team, receptionists, bar and spa staff. Lovely touch in the room with the oat cookies and milk in the fridge. Although it looks far the beach is only a 8 minute walk, we were recommended to eat at CATCH in Mawgan Porth (would not recommend), but looking back the food at Bedruthan was much better and value for money. The spa facilities are lovely, with extra touches such as pukka tea and water available. The spa did get busy between midday but we just about missed the crowd. Loved that we were given robes from our room and didn't need to book but could just go in freely.
