Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Beautiful and creative renovation, with both a historic and a modern feel. Truly an excellent location. Standard double room was a reasonable size, and comfortable. Great staff, who were very helpful in every way. The happy hour is wonderful! We would definitely stay here again.

United StatesNothing. All of our priorities were met. Plenty of hot water for shower, big comfortable bed, all the amenities we possibly could have wanted, and quiet! Complimentary wine the afternoon we arrived was a nice touch. Staff was great and gave good recommendations and directions.
We liked everything about the property. The electronics as far as lighting controls, outlets, usb ports, etc. were very nice. I liked the kitchenette tucked away behind closet doors. Smart. Close walking proximity to rail station as well as the dock/riverfront area was just what we needed since we were traveling by rail.

United KingdomThere is no parking but you can stop to drop across the street and the recommended car park is not too far and safe.
Location perfect for sight seeing, shopping, eating out. Rooms were small but perfectly formed and very clean. Staff went over and above from house keeping to reception they were friendly, helpful, professional. Lounge area was comfortable.

Easy check-in and check-out. I've stayed numerous times before, so knew what to expect. They're decent rooms at a decent price.

CanadaNothing comes to mind, but know they do not have an on site restaurant. There are very many close by to choose from, and some offer discounts to hotel guests. This is explained when you check in.
This location was pretty good. It was about a 17 minute walk to Royal Albert Dock (plus more to stop and take photos!). We were surprised to find the street nightlife so close but it was lively in a good way. We discovered Jacaranda Records just around the corner, where the early Beatles played. The staff at The Resident Liverpool were very helpful and educated us about Liverpool history and people.

United KingdomFantastic location, hotel very clean. The staff were more than accommodating from arrival right up to check out. They arranged transport for the evening and assisted in providing complimentary drinks for happy hour between 6pm-7pm. The room itself was extremely clean, more than enough room and provided plenty of facilities to make food and drinks within the room. The personalised card on arrival was a lovely touch. Definitely worth the price and we would recommend anyone visiting the area to stay, we will be returning in the not so distant future.

GermanyThe staff’s customer service was above and beyond! We were there for a Beatles Birthday Bash and we received a hand written Beatles card from the manager along with a sweet treat! The location was very central to all the shops, restaurants, clubs, and sites in city center Liverpool.
