Beautiful house, vary large comfortable rooms, super comfortable bed. The en-suite bathroom was as large as some hotel bedrooms. It had a cast iron bath which you can stretch out in. The breakfast was excellent with a Huge selection of cereal’s and fresh fruit. The owner was lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful and the staff were lovely. They took us a tour of the house which was very interesting. We will definitely return probably in the autumn.p

The only real thing missing in the bathroom was a shower attachment on the bath to rinse my hair but I managed with the jug!

We loved the spacious room and comfy beds. The welcome was wonderful and the breakfast a great start to the day. We were all well looked after, including our dog. The personal touch was really appreciated and it was a pleasure to meet Ailsa & Jackie!

Nothing. Just the way things should

Absolutely fantastic, just the way hotels should be run, everything was top notch, the staff were amazing and very attentive, the owner was out of this world, really about a character she is wonderful, real old school and absolutely spot on, I'm 6'4 and 19 stones and she scared the living daylights out of me. Such a lady, and completely in command of everything, the staff were also amazing, very attentive and very professional, can't praise the place high enough!! GREAT.

The short walk To Pooley Bridge at night was scary as the road has no street lights or path to walk on. In winter take a torch.

The house was lovely, and the breakfast was good. Our room was fabulous and had everything that we needed. Also the staff were very welcoming and made us feel at home.

No lock on the bedroom door when leaving the property, no dog poo bin, have to take it with you into town. Dangerous road leading down to town. I believe there's an alternative route.

    Breakfast was lovely
