We loved the eco focus of the property and the wonderful location and cute cottage, it perfectly suited our family getaway. The local suggestions for things to do like walking routes were spot on!

It was a perfect base for our exploration of the area. A warm and cosy cottage with everything we needed. Beautiful bedding and quiet surroundings ensured us all a sound night's sleep. We loved the local walks and the stunning scenery. We would love to visit Brecon again and wouldn't look to stay anywhere other than Barn Cottage.

I didn't like the bathroom being downstairs and the road and track into the farm.

I liked the space. It was a relaxing and quiet place to stay. The bed and bedding were lovely. I liked the log burner for cool evenings and the laundry room was well equipped and easy to use.

Fabulous location, quiet and we were so lucky with the weather. Fabulous bedding for a great night sleep and well equipped cottage with loads of books and games . The log burner was fully stocked and Hugh was always around if if we needed anything ( which we didn’t)

There were a few spots in the living room that I could tell needed dusting off.

The location was perfect. It was quiet and peaceful, exactly what my family wanted. The views were picturesque.

It didn’t have the working farm feel to it that I was expecting. I think we only see a few horses at most. A lot of the information shared was quite out of date.

It felt like home from home. Even though there were others staying near by it was so peaceful. It was a beautiful location and felt so relaxed.

The Cottage was perfect as was the location. The staff were excellent and made sure everything was ok for us.

We really enjoyed our stay. Hugh provided extensive instructions on how to find the cottage and what to expect on arrival. When we arrived, the cottage was ready and lovely and warm, ready for us to stay. On the table, there were some tea, coffee etc, and also the really nice extras, like a little bottle of milk in the fridge and some Welsh cakes which te kids really enjoyed. I liked the information on the cottage and the sustainability initiatives, there was a lot of thought into the welcome pack and what to include. The beds were lovely and comfy, the living area was perfectly laid out, with a nice selection of games and books. The kitchen was also well equipped. We enjoyed the view from the top fields in the farm when we had a wonder too. Absolutely lovely and relaxing- just what we wanted. The location of the cottage was great for walks in Brecon so was ideal for us.

I know it’s hard because of where it’s positioned but the toiled was very damp!maybe if the earth was dug out behind it it may help to keep the damp out! Other thing was the wooded toilet seat,could do with replacing and maybe with a plastic one as more hygienic.especially as it had a split and was peeling underneath from use.didn’t enjoy using the bathroom!

Everything was perfect!

Beautiful, comfy cottage in an incredible location! Despite the cold weather, the cottage was very warm and cosy and we had a wonderful time playing board games (supplied by the property) by the fire. The bed was incredibly comfortable and overall the facilities exceeded our expectations. The location is so beautiful - it was just the peace and quiet we were looking for! Would certainly return!

Loved it all

We love the cottage, everything is luxury, they have really thought about comfort and people coming together. The facilities are really good, location is very ideal. We did a beacon trail, they had some books there to look in and found some great ideas. The hosts were there and soo friendly beautiful horses, lovely dogs too. The stars outside are amazing we also went in a full moon. Cottage was cozy and warm.

Location amazing. Hugh is a perfect host, leaves you alone, but nothing is too much trouble when asked. Cottage is clean, comfortable and very well equipped.

Very nice and peaceful location, did some hiking, seeing the horses and local town centres are not far. Plus Brecon National Park was not far. The cottage was nice and cosy, generally clean (a few spiders in the living room area, but you expect that living in the farm lands)

Can’t fault anything!

Amazing location (more like breathtaking, I have never experienced something like this!!) and the cottage itself is just perfect - very cosy, beautiful terrace to enjoy breakfast on. Everyone around is very friendly - worth every penny and more!
