Quite a step to get in and out of the shower.

Warm friendly host. Large comfortable room. Great breakfast, amazing selection of cereals and varieties of jam to go with cooked option. Located on a busy road near city centre but neither of us disturbed in our respective rooms. Very close to railway station.

They obviously used to do dinner as well, it would be nice if they did again.

This is a beautiful old building and we were greeted with a cup of tea and cake when we arrived, which was wonderful. Our room was spacious and peaceful with a lovely big window. The breakfast was excellent with a great variety of choice. The property is in walking distance of everything and has ample parking, so we could leave our car there in the morning and walk into town, without worrying about when we had to leave.

The bed wasn't as comfortable as I'd hoped, but to be fair, I have problems with my shoulders and neck, so I am very sensitive to mattresses and pillows needing to be just right. I would still definitely stay there again.

The ambience of a Victorian Property

I was missing some water on the breakfast table. There was only orange juice, and I would have welcomed sachets of mustard, but perhaps that is not popular. No big deal, hence we did not mention it, but maybe something for the future.

Warm welcome was provided and the property has an old charm, but yet a homely feel to it. Our room was newly refurbished but it is an old building, so it has some character, which we liked. It is not slick, but rather grand. The bed was comfortable and breakfast good. Enjoyed it in the garden room and the second morning in the dining room. Very filling, and there were some interesting preserves on offer, which I don't normally go for, but curiosity got the better of me. The lounge was comfortable to sit in and wait for my husband, but we did not use the bar. A very nice stay overall.

Good location, 10 minute walk to the city centre . Car park with plenty of spaces available at the property. Our friendly host showed us to our room which was large with a comfortable bed and a settee. Breakfast the next morning was held in a light and airy conservatory with linen table cloths and real flowers on the tables. The breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice.
