The lodge is located in the city central, close to the bus station so it’s quite convenient.Friendly and welcome host provided very nice breakfast with lots choices. The room is very clean, fresh and quiet. It worth the money and choosing this lodge is my very correct choice!

We had to park a few roads away due to how busy it was in the surrounding area. That was the only bad thing for us.

The property was very clean. The owners were very friendly and helpful and made us feel very comfortable from the start.

There was nothing we did not like.

Very friendly hosts, were there to greet us and offered to help take our luggage up and down the stairs. Very organised with how they run their B&B. Always found a little chocolate and extra milk outside our room which was a lovely touch to make us feel at home. A fantastic choice of breakfast including Chris’s homemade bread.

Amy & Chris were fantastic hosts!! From our welcome to our departure, they were on hand and very approachable, nothing was too much for these two. Our room was very cosy and the bed was just so comfortable. The bathroom was adequately equipped and the shower was amazing!! And as for breakfast, well......the choices were incredible. Had continental, cereals, natural yogurt with variety of fresh fruits and a fantastically cooked breakfast (too many choices to mention). Will definitely book again at the Avondale Guest House when in Keswick, but best be quick, rooms are rarely available. Keep up the good work guys and hopefully see you soon!

Wonderful breakfasts, Amy and Chris were very welcoming, friendly hosts, comfortable bed, nothing was too much trouble for Amy, well organised systems to ensure a pleasant stay for guests. Particularly appreciated the little flasks of fresh milk each day for my cuppas!

Parking can be tricky

The location was perfect, Keswick centre was 5 mins walk away. The room was the ideal size and Amy and Chris were amazing hosts.

Point to charge phone on only one side of bed. Very very steep steps to top story bedroom. Very small bed rooms No conditioner Disappointed with recommendation to Thyme restaurant, which lacked ambience and food was less than average quality.

Only negative was the difficulty in parking. There is on street parking but rarely many spaces. The main stay car park is only a 5 min walk from property but quite expensive.

Beautiful stay in a lovely place. Amy was an amazing host and looked after us very well. The food was delicious. Would definitely stay again.
