Travelling on my own,the location is superb, and breakfast is excellent. The bedroom overlooked the garden and was peaceful, I had an excellent rest. There is an honesty bar. It's brilliant. I would definitely stay again. This is a very unique, special place.

Nothing not to like!

We had a lovely break. Heather, Alison (and her mum) were so friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. We’ve not been anywhere we felt so comfortable taking our dog. He will be back for his breakfast sausage! In a nice quiet area, slept like logs on the comfortable bed and breakfast was lovely. Short walk to the harbour and if you’re feeling a bit lazy for the walk back, the taxis will take dogs! Highly recommended!

Toilet was a not flushing properly and shower didn't work well either unfortunately, but we got round it and didn't affect our holiday.

There was a lot of drilling work going on out the back til quite late that was quite loud and noticeable

Interior was a bit dated, don’t think there was any wifi but not a criticism as I didn’t ask! If there was wifi I think that would need to be made clearer

Nothing of note

The Guest House was well located, not far from central town and right on the SWCP. The hosts were very welcoming and allowed me to drop off my rucksack earlier than expected. I stayed 2 nights and it was a great base. Not far to town, bus stops and shops. Breakfast was excellent. There were several rooms that guests could use, a lounge, launderette and a bar so made for a comfortable stay.

The room was spotlessly clean but we weren’t entirely comfortable with the only sink being in the bedroom and not in the bathroom so post loo you had to handle doors etc to reach the sink. I suspect in time the lovely owners will upgrade that bathroom from a bath to a shower and create space for a sink.

There was nothing not to like about the property. Right on the SW coastal path and parking outside. The staff could not be more accommodating or friendly. They made us and our dog very welcome and the dog even got her own cut up sausage at breakfast. The breakfast was fabulous, cooked to order and with a vast array of lovely things. I’d stay again for sure but I’d want a sink in the bathroom.

Enjoyed our stay at Avoncourt Lodge. Staff were friendly and gave advice on the local area. Breakfast was great. We also loved the artwork around the B&B. The bedroom was clean and comfortable . A great place to base ourselves for a weekend stay. We'll definitely book again - great value for money and a great base between the coastal walk and the town.

There is nothing we can think of, everything was great!

From the moment we arrived, Alison showed us around and made us feel welcome. The family room was perfect and clean. The breakfast was fantastic, Heather really looked after us. The honesty bar is a lovely addition and my son loved playing darts in the evening. A lovely B&B and we would 100% recommend.
