Our bed was two separate pushed together which I believe is the norm but they hadn’t been secured together and kept moving apart to the point there became a big gap between beds. Had to zip mattresses together ourself. Cooked Breakfast was cool to cold.

Entrance and fire doors were scuffed and need refurbishing. Spa and swimming pool were advertised but on arrival they were closed. We should have been advised of this.

We found it difficult to find our way round this huge resort when we arrived. Strategically placed Visitors’ Maps would help.

Breakfast, there was plenty of choice but we waited almost 20minutes for our pot of tea and toast. Also there were many items in the Breakfast buffet that were not available and took around 15mins to be replenished. We gave up waiting so didnt get a full breakfast

Reception and downstairs bar staff were very stiff. No interaction or even a smile. They looked as though they wanted to be anywhere but here.

The room was great. Loads of space, comfy bed, and everything we needed. Restaurant staff were great both at dinner and breakfast.

We had a room with an adjoining door and our neighbour was very noisy late at night and again early in the morning meaning we didn’t get a good sleep

The spa facilities board on the main pool which means the atmosphere in the spa facilities is not quiet and restful as the main pool is very family orientated. The depth of the main pool is also really shallow making it difficult to have an actual swim. Great for young kids but less good for adults. This means the pool/leisure facilities are great if you are with kids, but not so good for adults. Separate spa facilities would have been much better.

The hotel is very well located within of Aviemore. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Lovely breakfast buffet in the morning with lots of choices. There are several restaurants on the resort. The price-quality combination was very good. It was very good value for money.

It’s a little out dated & worn - ideally needs a refurb … and the drinks and food on site are pretty pricey.

Interior is very tired and dated, the bathrooms are small with nowhere to store anything. No housekeeping service available so there were no fresh towels or refills of tea / milk etc. Found it tricky to navigate around the building and there is only one tiny lift. The floors in the pool changing rooms and showers were filthy, and most of the carpets in the hotel required a good vacuum, didn’t see a cleaner the whole weekend we were there.

Used as a base for visiting friends. Overall does what it says on tin, but atmosphere around the whole place is soulless and lacking in any vibrancy or warmth. Kids enjoyed the pool, had a good meal in the Italian (didn’t try any other dining options). Staff were generally efficient and friendly.

Thought £388 for two nights for a small family room with old decor is expensive. A glass of red wine, pint of lager and two fruit shoots £19 is very expensive. Swimming good but needs modernised. We did have a great time and the facilities are good

Only negative is the main lift at the ski hill didnt work so the ski hill was running at very reduced visitor capacity so its a lottery to get on the hill.

Onsite activities great for kids, nice location, Aviemore offers all the services for a short break. If you decide to dine out with hotel, best to pre book as restaurants fill up fast.

Restaurant was very good for dinner &breakfast. Leisure centre was very good with large pool with steam room & sauna with ample loungers to chill out. Had a deluxe double room which was a good size with couple of comfy chairs.

It's a bit dated but doesn't take away from having a nice family trip.

We went with low expectations given the reviews but exceeded our expectations. Facilities were good, pool area great (with a slide), kids loved the soft play and clean rooms. Most staff were friendly and attentive. Good value for money (we were 340 for 2 nights (Fri & Sat)) I can see how people may be disappointed if they had paid 250/300 a night.

The room is slightly dated is all, still a great stay.

It is an ideal couple of night getaway for a small family , it was myself , partner and two year old - on site there is soft play , a swimming pool , cinema , nearby a wildlife park featuring polar bears. On site there is a decent enough Italian restaurant which is my son’s favourite type of food. Would recommend for couples with young kids.
