Lovely hotel been before highly recommend staff lovely

Sorry to say the furniture in the bedroom was a little dated like old MFI units and the bed was a little lumpy and hard if only the same care to decoration was given upstairs as it is to the bar and dining room then i wouldn't hesitate togive this hotel a ten out of ten.

The overall ambience of the hotel, and breakfast was lovely 😍 the bar area was nicely decorated , and the bar staff were very helpful, and a great view over the bay , only a short walk to the beach or into central Exmouth 😀.

The shower temperature was all over the place scolding got one minute freezing cold the next, the room lacked soundproofing, could hear everything in the corridor.

Staff were amazing, couldn't have been more helpful, great location, good value for money.

The Family room 113, we stayed in was small and very dated, over looking a scruffy back garden. The Room door was a bit of a struggle getting through with our bags. Looks more like a cupboard door! Very narrow! The bathroom desperately need’s ripping out and modernising! A lot of limescale on taps, shower head and stains in the toilet! Bathroom fan was also very annoying and stayed on for quite awhile even after the light was turned off! We were right next to the lift and not sure if the noise was coming from that or a boiler, but we could hear it all night long. Lucky I often take earplugs away with me and it was that loud that I had to put some in my 8 year olds ears so that he could fall asleep. If we had been staying more than the 2 nights I would have definitely asked to move rooms.

We stayed here for 2 nights in a family room, the location was fantastic and in walking distance for a wedding we were attending at a church around the corner and the reception was at The Ocean on the beach front. Car parking was free and Breakfast was lovely.

Typical older sea side hotel in need of some refurbishment which we believe is planned in the future.

Avoid room 3. It was like sleeping in the boiler room. There was continuous noise from the boiler until 11pm, and it started again at around 7.30, so it was not particularly relaxing. If they could sort this out, the stay would have been perfect. The room and ensuite facilities were also quite small.

Breakfast was brilliant. Hotel public areas were redecorated and very pleasant. The garden across the road has great sea views and was a perfect place to relax with a drink. The staff were very helpful and the service was excellent.

Limescale on bathroom taps, no latch button on room door. Although room was clean and perfectly adequate, decor is dated as is furniture.

Bathroom was discusting, hair from previous guest shaving was left all in the shower and all over the shower mat. The room was okay. Seemed to be trying to make it look good but it's very worn. Could do with some fresh furniture and a good deep clean.

Booked a single room, unfortunately room so small I had nowhere to put a suitcase!! Had to size up at a cost!!

Pity that the view is limited. One area in the bar - in the bay - gives a good view of the shore. Dining room view is blocked.
