No curtain in the shower, no toilet brush.

Stunning property and view from it, the insides were beautifully preserved. Tea, coffee and biscuits in the room were very welcome after a long trip. The bed was also super comfy.

Continental breakfast a farce. It was either cereal, or yoghurt or pastries or meats. Usually a continental includes all of these so all I had for breakfast was a slice of toast and a bowl of cereal.

Perhaps leave instructions on how to operate the shower as I couldn't get the water hit enough.

If I had to dig for something wrong, I'd just say that water wasn't brought out to me in the dining room without me asking.

It was far more luxurious than I imagined! Even some history to the place. The staff was friendly and helpful, the amenities spoiled me, the grounds were like a little paradise hidden in the woods and corner of the loch, the guests either gathered for a drink in the home bar or privately in the drawing room or wherever else, and it was all considerably affordable for what it was offering.

getting there is a bit of a trick. truly out in the middle of now where, but with that comes some serious peace and quiet.

My wife and I spent two nights here with another couple the building is beautiful the grounds are a little overgrown but really special. The occomodations and staffing were superb, but don't go here expecting all the amenities of a brand new shiny hotel. Part of the character is the furnishings which are a bit older and have some wear and tear, but the staff is great, and the food and drink offerings were great as well

Location and beauty of the house, garden and loch would take a lot of beating.

Although the furniture is of the period and it’s very ornate, it does need a bit of care. Also, it would be great if the walled garden could be brought back to life.

The hotel is located on a beautiful property at the end of a secluded country road. The flowering trees and rhododendrons were absolutely stunning. It’s very quiet and peaceful. The hotel itself has an amazing history and it’s very comfortable.

If you want ultra-modern facilities with no maintenance issues, this is not for you but we absolutely loved it!

The location is fabulous with great grounds to walk in, owls, cuckoos and the loch. The staff were very friendly and the food was high class, including langoustines as a starter within the DBB price. The rooms were huge and quirky with everything you could want. The hotel is like being in a stately home with a large drawing room.

    All was excellent.

The hotel is in a quiet and in a serene spot close to Loch Awe. Its interior design is quirky but tasteful and restaurant overlooks loch. The bedroom was comfortable and all that we needed was provided. The staff were all friendly and willing to make suggestions regarding our stay and the area. You felt like one of the family, they were all very welcoming. The dinner deserves 11/10 it was superb and tasty and varied choice as was the breakfast. Thank you for making our one night stay so memorable.
