Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Decent place. Top rating for the back rooms that are quiet and you can take a wonderful sleep. 4 person room (1 double bed, 2 single) is big enough and well oriented, so 4 people can stay normally in.

United StatesThe room was old and outdated. It would have been nice to have a refrigerator in the room since I was there for one week. It would have been nice to be able to have yogurt or drinks in the room and have them be cold.
The location was excellent. The room was clean and they changed the towels mid-way through my stay. The staff was very friendly and gave helpful suggestions of where to eat, things to do.

United KingdomIt's a shame that there was no breakfast option at the hotel. Some extra care is needed for cleaning the bathroom before new guests arrive. A separate plug socket for the kettle would help. If TV is in use, you have to place the kettle on the floor as that is the next available socket.
Location was perfect for the beach and pier. Very near to town centre too. The room was fairly clean but has dated, basic furniture. The bed was clean and comfortable though. The room was more or less what I expected for the price though.

United KingdomThe bed base is very old and torn. The room hasn’t seen a thorough clean in a while. I had to do some dusting of skirting boards. It just needs a good vacuuming. No lift but the guy is great and helps.
The gentleman at reception is an exceptional human being. VERY HELPFUL, very kind, very welcoming. He made the stay very pleasant. There are many drug addicts that hang around just outside on the grass area in front of hotel. Nothing the hotel can do about it though.

The room we stayed in was not clean at all, the chairs had stains on them. However, the beds were very comfortable as we slept through perfectly. The staff was nice, they had extra blowdryers and straighteners if needed, which was very helpful. Good location, very close to the beach.
