The location was excellent. Much better to be outside of Harlech and close to the beach. An easy walk for my daily morning swim and the views were stunning.

Picture postcard cottage in a great location for a quiet break. A short walk to two beaches and shops and restaurants within a 5 min drive. The owners are easy to deal with and responsive. There's plenty of information in the cottage folder, and a welcome hamper with some essentials to start. We were able to get a Tesco food delivery which saved us a job so we could relax after our long journey. Plenty of room for parking on the driveway. The cottage was cosy and comfortable, with everything you need. The kitchen was well equipped, like a home from home. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was well equipped. The living room is lovely with a fireplace and plenty of seating options. The garden front and back is furnished with well established shrubs and plenty of seating options which all have views of the ocean. The location is quiet and peaceful, just what we needed. We used the cottage as a base and travelled to various places as far as South Stack lighthouse, The National Slate Museum, Caernarfon Castle, Ffestiniog steam railway from Porthmadog, Portmeirion, RAF Valley, and Barmouth. Locally Harlech Castle and the Llanfair Slate caverns. Also, the Mach loop is not far away for aircraft enthusiasts. We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage and we're happy to recommend it. We will consider returning in the future.

The views from Bwthyn Nain were stunning. The cottage was very well equipped for the dogs as well as accompanying humans. The welcome hampers were delicious and so appreciated, especially by the dogs!! Helpful information folder with eating out ideas and useful information. Lovely communication with the owners.

Low beam into kitchen could catch tall people and stairs are a bit creaky but it is an old place with lots of lovely character

The cottage was in such a beautiful position looking to the sea. Our welcome basket of Welsh cakes biscuits fizz and beer was a lovely touch thank you. Llandanwg beach was a decent walk from the cottage with Harlech beach just round the corner We were visiting Port Meirion for my birthday and Porthmadog so we were in easy reach of all places and went on the Ffestioniog railway having driven to Porthmadog to get the train to Blaenau Ffestiniog. Yvette our host was very helpful before we departed suggesting places eateries etc which we visited and were not disappointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage and would recommend to family and friends and hopefully revisit sometime in the future. Thank you Yvette and Simon

Beautiful garden with views across to the sea. Comfortable living space and bedrooms. Well equipped and spacious kitchen. Plenty of parking and outdoor seating. Perfect cottage for break in Wales.

Great location near a dog friendly beach. To the right of the beach dogs are allowed April to Sept. within walking distance to the beach, car if disabled . quiet comfortable beautiful cottage in a quiet area, Everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Excellent communication with host nearest town is, Barmouth 9 miles. Plenty of little shops and eating places dog friendly. The opposite direction Porthmadog.

Not so much a dislike, but more a bit of advice... Unless you are super fit, you do need your car to access the beach, town and shops. No easy walks from the cottage but, literally a five minute drive to Harlech Town and beach with loads of places to visit within striking distance by car.

The property lived up to its name - "beautiful cottage". Super comfy with lovely log fire, fabulous views, and an immediate sense of feeling at home . The hosts were amazing and provided lots of comforts you would expect in a hotel (not in a self-catering unit)... welcome basket of local goodies and wine for us and one for our dog too with treats, toys, blankets and towels. Shampoos and conditioner for us and the pup, make-up remover pads in the bathroom amd small details like salt and pepper in the cupboard. Amazing choice of TV channels and good WiFi. Pretty garden and a panoramic view of the sea from the bedroom windows. Just a delightful place to relax and unwind.

Everything, it felt like home with everything needed just being there. Beautiful house with lovely garden and off street parking in outstanding location! There was also plenty paid TV channels available for rainy days with fireplace … this brilliantly made up for bad weather which could be expected in December. The owners thought about everything to prepare this property for every occasion and you can feel the love and care they did put in to it. Also hugely grateful as this property is a heaven for dogs. They aloud to be free around house and garden and have bed and towels and toys ready for them to play. Lovely! Despite that dogs regularly stays there everything was spotless clean. Amazing place I hope I will be back in the summer.

beware an extra charge for heating

very clean, stylish and cosy cottage in a great location near an excellent beach that reminded me of New Zealand.

Being told the day before the start of our break that extra charges would be made for the use of electricity and oil if we went over a certain amount per day. We was not in during the day so it did not affect us, if the weather had of been bad every day it may have. TV was only from an Amazon fire-stick no instruction on how to use. Would have preferred normal TV channels.

Loved the location and the cottage it was just perfect. Ideal for getting out to local areas. The hosts provided anything you may need on a holiday. A real home from home. They also made themselves available to calls for questions.

Great location, very easy to access all the surrounding lovely scenery, mountains and coast. Beautiful views from the house. Extremely comfortable and cosy cottage, very nicely furnished and a lovely welcome pack.
