Beautiful hotel. Really enjoyed our stay. Also dog friendly and staff couldn't of been more hospitable. Dogs are not allowed in the main restaurant but you can take them into the bar, and eat there. Which worked fine for us. Would recommend

Lovely and welcoming staff, clean and hospitable, stylish decor and warm vibe to the whole hotel. Room was really lifted out with everything you could need, including a plug in fan which was incredible being 8 months pregnant! Comfy bed and really well decorated bathroom too.

Only tiny thing if I had to pick something and this is very minor was the cooked breakfast would have been complete with beans (veggie option came with them but not the Alverton Grill)

Beautifully presented, great location, stunning garden view room. Staff were super attentive and we were made to feel incredibly welcome. Incredibly clean and a great place to stay to explore Cornwall from.

Shame there isn't a path leading into the town centre from the hotel.

All the staff were friendly however we found breakfast staff (Saturday 18th May) were a little unprofessional, apart from 2 of the waitresses (one had her hair up with plaits and the other had a few piercings they were both fabulous.) staff on breakfast on Sunday 19th were much better and a lot more professional.

We noticed a few things that could do with a bit of tlc. Window frames plus shower and sink drainage to name two.

A comfortable character full place to stay. Our room was spacious and quiet. We were pampered at breakfast. Bike storage was excellent.

Our room (18) overlooked a terrace where people can sit and it detracted from our privacy. Not too much of an issue as we were mostly out. But will request a different room if offered this one again

The staff were lovely, the room was spotlessly clean and the food was amazing and good value for money. The hotel was surrounded by beautiful gardens and, although it's near a main road, it sits on a hill at the end of a winding drive with mature trees in the garden, so even on the verandah you aren't really aware of the road and traffic.

It was a great experience for the both of us, the charm and architecture of the old church was just as we had imagined, the rooms where perfect just what we needed. The restaurant was just as perfect as was all of the staff, will recommend the hotel to family and friends.

The room was truly wonderful. Looking through the leaded glass windows into the garden as a storm rolled could not have been more perfect. The staff were so helpful, the grounds are wonderful and the building itself is a gem!

I think there may have been elephants in the room above us as there was a lot of loud stomping around early in the morning (obviously not the fault of the hotel and sadly something to be expected from selfish and inconsiderate guests).

The staff were excellent; cheerful, helpful and understanding of what makes a hotel stay comfortable. The building is a great example of an old building repurposed but with a touch of luxury. Breakfast provided a good variety of great tasty food

A beautiful hotel in a great location for exploring Cornwall. Our room was really comfortable with a lovely view over the gardens, comfortable bed, and the best bathroom with an excellent shower. Breakfast was delightful, plated to order and served by friendly staff. The staff at reception were all so welcoming and helpful.

We enjoyed 3 nights in this wonderful hotel.We upgraded our room to a junior suit for the bathtub and we did not regret it!As the weather was not the best in February,having a bathtub as well as an ample shower really helped.No noise and close to the carpark was ideal too.Wonderful breakfast every day as well as dinner. We were delighted with our stay as the hotel is really something to remember.We will be back.
