Room we were given had a joining door which meant noise travelled between rooms very easily. Got woken early by next rooms talking and child trying none the adjoining door (it was locked but still didn’t stop them From trying to open it into our room)

    Very fresh and felt new

Building work meant that acccess was as a bit impaired, internet connection affected and there was no water to wash hands in the loo in reception. No food or drinks in terms of bar cage open till 5 just a small shop - but weird.

The room was good size. The twin beds were large and comfy. Great t a quiet room which I requested. Black out blinds amazing . Check out at 12 and free bag storage. Lovely staff. Good breakfast.

We had to wait to check in. We arrived a little before 3pm so were prepared to wait but they still had to wait for our room to be made ready. The temperature of our room was over 30 degrees when we did get to it. Maintenance came quite quickly and fixed it but it did delay us getting on with our day a little. When we went to the pool about 4.30pm there were no towels left.

The service at the restaurant in the evening was excellent. Sushma was very kind with my children as I was travelling alone with my 5 year old and 18 month old. The bar area of the hotel was good fun with a pool table and football table. Convenient 'shop' in reception to get food basics 24 hours a day.

They enforced me to pay 150 GBP as deposit before I can check in! It was so weird and my first experience to happen to me. Also one small bottle of water is definitely not enough.

Room: our room was facing the construction site so every time we opened the blind we were met with construction workers. So no privacy at all. Breakfast: limited choice of food. Game room: the ball for table football was missing. Swimming pool: we wish there is a toilet at the swimming pool. Car parking: this is the main problem for us. We are blue badge holder and we can't get parking on site and had to be forced to use overflow parking at Excel instead. This is really unacceptable. There are I think 5-6 disabled bays on site but most of the time the cars that parked there didn't display any bluebadges. We wish that the hotel should have done something about it as this has made the hotel not accessible when you have disabled parking space but you allow non-blue badge holders to use it and bluebadge holder needs to go to overflow car park. The hotel has a sign up that a fine of £100 can be charged for non-compliance. The hotel should have enforced this on those cars that used disabled bays without displaying the badges. Everyone is asked to check in the car reg number at check in so it shouldn't be difficult to trace back to which hotel room they are in. We love the facilities at the hotel but the parking issue let us down.

Room: very spacious and comfortable. Bed is very nice. Breakfast: the staff called Parbati is the best. She has made us feel very welcome every morning. My son looks forward to seeing her at breakfast. She is very polite and friendly. She really goes out of her way to make our visit comfortable. She even remembered our order for the kitchen every morning. She really deserves to get a staff of the month award if you have one. Game room: we love game room especially the fact that we don't have to pay to play pool and table football. Swimming pool: it is nice and warm.

I wasn't keen on the view from our window and there were no locks that worked on the changing room door in the leisure facility.

The pool and gym facility. I also liked the complimentary bottled water in the room. The staff were really helpful too.

They originally gave us the refurbished room and it wasn’t nice at all. We felt like it was for someone who was in a wheelchair. But it felt like it was lacking something the other room gave us.

The new room they gave us was nice and comfortable.

The heater / AC connection in the room wasn't working for the heater, but the staff brought up a heater for the night. The TV connection was very poor to connect any devices

Very good location to everything you would need in the area, Excel center the DLR for traveling and the cable cars and the 02. Room was very nice, bed was very comfy and had a great night's sleep.

Incredibly confusing to access from the overflow carpark and staff weren't much help. Note: absolutely oodles of parking so no worries on that front. Building works mean you've got to use the car park under Excel (ground floor not underground) but once you get out of your car it's really badly signed. Like just not signed. Then the staff tried to direct me back to the car by saying yes you go out of the front door and turn left ie walk along the main road. Do not try that. You go out the back by the funky bar area, around the red tiled wall, into excel, down the escalator, and then get in to the carpark that way. Apart from that, all fine. You're not going to see the hanging gardens of babylon from your window but it does the job for a short stay for excel.

Close to excel, modern, nice food and people

Breakfast is ok-. Its not a lot to choose from, typical english breakfast and a few toppings. Its a 45-50 minute ride with uber from central London, but the trains go quite frequently and its only a 2 minute walk to the Station so its fine. Just keep that in mind. We were 6 adults with 4 rooms. When we arrived at the Hotel we had to pay way more than it said when we booked the stay which i think is bad. Even though you book a room for 1 person you still have to pay for 2. You also have to pay a deposit for 20£ each night your staying there. So we stayed for 4 nights which equals to 100£ total. You also have to pay for breakfast 15£ per. person each day ur having breakfast. That gets taken from ur deposit. (To be fair, the breakfast was not worth it)

The Hotel is beautiful, the exterior and interior is stunning. Rooms are small, but its fine. There’s only a door to the toilet/shower, there is not a door to the bathroom. Its a very clean hotel, it smells alot of chlorine or something in the reception and by the breakfast hall.
