The mattresses and pillows are quite soft and probably need upgrading to bring them up to the higher standards of the room and the furnishings.

Good location, clean well decorated room, friendly owners.

The only down side was that the pub downstairs does not serve food. However, there was plenty of choice just a five minute walk away for sit in meals and take aways.

What a perfect little gem especially for people who like to set out early. Breakfast is available from the communal landing at any time of the morning with a choice of cereals, toast, crumpets and fruit bread. Our room was spotless and very comfortable.

Breakfast was poor that was just a loaf of bread or cereal that they showed at check in. Cobwebs in room. Only one pillow on bed. Shower would not cool down from boiling hot. WiFi only worked downstairs.

    The location.

The only thing that really matters about an overnight stay is a good night's sleep. This was difficult because the b and b is very compact (4 rooms), and floors and doors are noisy. Someone (a member of staff??) Was walking around noisily between rooms all night on both nights of my stay (I mean ALL night - I cant imagine why a guest would do this), keeping me awake and when I knocked, refusing to answer. The mattress was so poor/old that it sagged and felt like a hammock, which was uncomfortable and gave backache. The coolest temperature setting on the shower was slightly hotter than I found pleasant, and would be much too hot for kids. Road noise was significant but many people might find this normal, depending on where you live. I wish I'd booked a dormitory bed in a youth hostel instead, which was my other option.

Room and bathroom well presented. Staff flexible and friendly. Aesthetically good, but frustrating on practical issues.

I wasn't given information in relation to the help yourself 'breakfast' and had expectations from previous reviews of a Full English being offered - maybe I misread something?

Maybe a few more breakfast options, but no complaints!

My sister, cousin and I had a wonderful stay at The Albert Hotel. The beds were comfortable and the room was pristinely clean and cozy. The owner was so kind and helpful and allowed us to leave our luggage after check out so we could explore the area before we left. It was great to have food options for grab and go in the morning. Beautiful view from the window. The best part of our stay was the people. Everyone we met in Disley was so friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Wonderful place to visit, highly recommend!

The listing says breakfast is included, what it means to say is there are mini boxes of cereal and a toaster you can help yourself to. I found this disappointing, a hotel including breakfast should be a cooked breakfast.

The room itself was fine, although it was noisy being on the road.

The room was hot and the fan did not work, but was swapped for one that did on the 2nd night. Continental buffet-style breakfast is a tad misleading but perhaps my expectations were wrong.

Room was lovely and clean. The greeting warm and friendly. Street parking not a problem

The breakfast is classed as continental but in reality it is help yourself to cereals and toast from another Room and take back to your room. Expectations need to be managed better in terms of what the actual breakfast offering is when you book.

Convenient stay as part of 2 day walking holiday. Right price point for what you get so pleasant enough stay.

Breakfast offer was archaic, problems with scolding hot water in shower. Plus legacy of problems further to a power cut ie no TV as fuses blown. We were greeted by a plethora of excuses.

Convenience of location, cleanliness, but little else.

Lovely hotel in Disley, ideal if you're thinking of exploring Lyme Park or Peak District region. There is a small pub downstairs and the rooms are on the upper floor. The room was surprisingly quiet and comfortable, and the bathroom shower is great. Room heating works well, and the breakfast is simple but quite good (options go from cereal, to bread, toasts, butter, ham, milk, jam etc). The staff was lovely and kind and allowed us to leave our bags in the hotel after our checkout, in order for us to explore the area for a couple of hours more.
