Very narrow parking lots and tight entrance. Cooked breakfast and bread quality could be better. Cleanliness behind bed and bedside cupboards.

Very small room, not enough space to use the sink. It should be a single (or a double), not a twin. No space to store your suitcases. Steep staircase. When asked Jay to open the door for me for easy access to the car park he said he cannot because it was a “safety door” (?) but the same door was wide open during breakfast. However, he offered me help to take the suitcases upstairs. Cameras are everywhere, which is good for safety (and became very handy when I thought I lost my key :) but it can be a little intimidating too (eg in dining area).

Plenty of off street parking. Jay was very helpful. Easy access with a code for the entrance door. Comfortable beds. Nice breakfast with plenty of options including full English. We were allowed to use the dining area to eat our take away in the evening.

Honestly i have no complaints about this property.. if you really need a negative, the chair in my room wasn't the most comfortable..

AJ Lodge was perfectly situated for my trip whilst working at two local hospitals. Wonderful welcome by Jay, good private parking (it is a little tight but i have a large van) The entire lodge is spotless clean, with three shared toilets and three shared showers just on my floor. Comfy bed, good working TV and plenty of breakfast options. It is also walking distance from a number of take outs and restaurants. I have no doubt that i will stay here again.. Thank you Jay and the team.

Stayed here last year, and commented then about the shower. Stayed in same room this time, still comfortable but shower still the same and sadly the shower was dirty around the base and the pipe

The walls are quite thin and we could hear a lot of banging and talking. The ‘quiet’ hours were observed.

I didnt like the fact that the toilet was half way up the corridor. The cooked breakfast was not really that great but credit to the staff for the effort. I didnt like the Iron mark on the carpet in the middle of the room.

I liked the fact it was secure and we could come and go as we liked. I liked how comfy the bed was and how clean the room was. Only issue was not having a toilet in the room.

Breakfast was freshly made on order , lovely presentation, great taste and staff was extra helpful in ensuring I was satisfied. Porter was nice and polite, gave great assistance when needed and made me feel very comfortable

Was quite warm with no AC but a fan was provided and it’s not their fault it was warm.

The gentleman running the place was nice as were the breakfast staff. It was clean and tidy and relatively quiet too. There was safe parking and a shop right next door too which was handy.
