It was a bit tired and rundown, although renovations are in progress. Not in walking distance to the nearest town amenities. The staff could have been a bit more helpful on check in to explain the facilities, what's available and even a map.

Parts of the hotel were very run down. The corridors had paint that wasn't finished. Inside the room the bathroom was very outdated. Little water came out the taps and the shower was also lacking pressure. One of the plugs wasn't good either. Had to plug my charger in at a weird angle for it to work. Paying for WiFi these days is a travesty. They do it because there is virtually no signal. So they can do that. I think that needs to be sorted.

The property itself was a wonderful building. Lots of parking that was free as well. The room itself had a nice and comfortable bed and overall it was nice and quiet. The TV was of a decent size and made watching the football decent.

no dugs allowed in public areas yet dog frirndly advertised radiator was broke no hairdryer no telephone corridors looked derilict fire doors had been stripped but not painted unable to have food as no dogs allowed in any seated areas

Always something doesn't work. Light switch in bathroom. Long walk to reception. Often outdated bathroom.

No hot water or heating in room B712 throughout my stay my stay unfortunately when I reported this to reception, they had no alternative rooms or additional heating available. My 8 year old son suffers from poor circulation, which spoilt our weekend. There was also a packet of half used tissues under one of the beds.

Very nice hotel with very helpful friendly staff. Pleasant surroundings with games available for children.

Dirty, old, no escalator for your luggage. No air conditioning. Food is equivalent to the food you find in nursery for old people.

The location was great. A bit out of nowhere. No restaurant or pub near by which is bad because the food was terrible

Hotel was short staffed bar closed before 11 on a Friday night. Room too hot. Tv didn’t work and bathroom hadnt been cleaned lots of mud on the floor and shower didn’t work.

The hotel needs a lot of updating, but you know this when you book. That is why it is so reasonably priced.

Staff were so friendly and helpful. Historical building and lovely well-kept grounds. Value for money.

3 floor. Not ideal with back pain. Taps hard 2 turn off completely. Bedside lamp didn't work. Noise outside room window at times.

A little more activity for kids to enjoy, park. Access to the tennis court, basketball net Which we did see. But couldn't seem to access this, a waste of facilities which would definitely be useful with children.

The staff were excellent and very helpful, I was also remembered from a previous visit. Reception was brilliant to me and my son.

Tv wasnt working information re breakfast etc wasnt good. Lack of food and drink only vending machines. No curtains on windows was a cause for concern re privacy.

It was suitable as we were attending a festival and really just needed bed.

The bed very firm and uncomfotable but again personal preference would be less firm bed. Tea /coffee tray wasn't cleaned. The full floor was very creeky but again an old building , it could do with beeing repaired. No lamp, one bedside table, no shower/shampoo but there was a small soap. I understand to keep prices down for guests but cutting down the basics isn't wise. The back stairways are manky. Keeping the place cleaner is much needed. I don't normally report negative reports but this time i feel i had to so it can be addressed because this hotel has so much potenial .

The garden and grounds ate lovely, staff nice but need training on reception area.tried their best though.

-it was a problem to find an empty parking slot, -the radiator knob was damaged and it was impossible to reduce the heating, receptionist told me that unfortunately there is no maintenance personnel present during the weekend and there are no any other available rooms, the window had to be open the whole night, -furniture and interior is quite old and worn out, + a bit smelly, -breakfast was very basic and for given price, I would expect more variety, -Wifi was working, but internet was not, during my whole stay, which in combination with no GSM reception inside the buildings, caused total radio silence.
