A refurbished 3 up 3 down terrace in a quiet location in the centre of the village. Ideal in all respects.

It wasn't entirely clear that the property was as far from Aberystwyth as it is, so a little confusing to find, but a call to host got it sorted.

Comfortable, spacious, very quiet, with a home-like atmosphere. Host was extremely helpful. Would gladly stay again.

Stayed here over the recent May Bank Holiday as we were attending a family wedding in the area. The cottage is tastefully decorated & furnished & has a great mixture of both traditional/modern features. The modern kitchen is well equipped & had everything we needed. The bathroom has the wow factor, with a fabulous freestanding bath & separate shower. The beds were so comfortable and we all enjoyed a couple of nights restful sleep. Very easy to park right outside the cottage & only a short drive into Aberystwyth centre & seafront. I would have no hesitation in recommending Adail Cottage & would definitely stay again. Many thanks to the host, Louise, who kept in touch & gave us her number, should any problems arise. Overall, it was a fabulous weekend & we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

The only thing I didn't like was the parking outside the cottage. It states there's parking . It hasn't been made as a parking area and it was extremely hard to park my car in front. There is no pavement outside the cottage. So cars were coming down at speed . I was worried that if my car was sticking out little, it would've been knocked. All other spaces near the area were private because we asked .

The cottage was a beautiful and looked very old. I would've liked to have read some history on it. Everything we needed was there and it was comfortable.

It was a pity that hot water didn't quite work on the bathtub most of the time.

The kitchen and bathroom looked particularly clean. Driving to and from Aberystwyth was also straight-forward.

We couldn't get the heating to work in the bathroom, and it had just turned a bit nippy. Also the HUGE bath takes ages to fill as it only has very hot or cold out of the mixer tap. but really they're just minor things and having spoken with the host on the phone i'm sure we could have resolved quickly if it was a problem for us.

Cottage is deceptively large when looking from the outside, it seems to go on forever. The beds were super comfortable and all the bedding was excellent. The kitchen is brand new and had everything we would need from a utensils perspective. It feels very homely and although we were only staying one night, it would be a good base for additional nights. The host had left a heater on for us which took some of the chill out the house which was appreciated.

Lovely property with everything you need. Modern kitchen and bathroom with the rest of the house having Victorian features such as fireplace etc! There was only 2 of us and a small dog so very comfortable and a good location to get to Aberystwyth and surrounding area.

there were a lot of spiders and spiderwebs in the house, and not just small ones we had 2 giantesque spiders in the kitchen and the tv room ... not so good if you have arachnophobia.

The property is short of information. There is no welcome pack with information on the local amenities, taxi numbers, dog friendly pubs, takeaways, etc. There are no instructions on how to use the cooker, dishwasher, storage heaters, hot water, or TV. We therefore had to Google the make & model or contact the owner. As mentioned previously, the hot water for the bath runs extremely slow. You need to let it run for a good hour to get a decent amount of water. If you want to use Netflix, make sure you have your password. With the property being dog friendly, it would have been helpful for the obvious if the grass in the back garden was well kept, but it was very much overgrown, so we didn't bother sitting out there. It's been mentioned previously that the pub directly across the road has been closed for some time. This could do with being updated on the website for those who may not read all the reviews. Overall, we had a great few days. We can definitely recommend the local Chinese Hai Yang, which is about a 10-minute drive away. If you're looking for something a little more classy, then try Y Ffarmers. It's a little pricey, but the food is excellent!

The location was fab, only a short drive into Aberystwyth. The bathroom is a great size. Instant hot water in the shower. The fact that it's dog friendly was fantastic & we found a great walk along the river. There is a local shop just around the corner where you can pick up most necessities.

We did struggle to find the cottage as Adail Cottage is not the name by the door. This was quickly resolved by a call to the host and wasn’t a major issue.

Lovely little cottage about 10 minutes from Aberystwyth. Lota of character and tastefulmdecor with modern bathroom and kitchen. Host was extremely helpful and welcoming.

Maybe a bin outside for general rubbish? I cleaned up after the dogs and there was no suitable disposal bin for the waste bags or other unrecyclable rubbish. Minor issue really.

Cottage beautiful and quaint.Beds, bedding and towels etc very clean and fresh.. The accommodation was very comfortable. Excellent bathroom.
