Some road noise in bedrooms but not enough to spoil the stay.

Great access to Rye and off road parking. Great selection of cooking utensils and trays/saucepans

The bath was small, and difficult to clean.

Fabulous location. Nice open plan kitchen-dinner - lounge.

Yes, the main road is noisy but ear plugs are a recommendation. It's also pretty quiet after 10pm anyway. Two suggestions for the owner: Some kind of dog gate between this property and the adjoining neighbors garden. Our dog kept going onto their side and whilst not doing anything, I can imagine it's probably quite annoying for the owners. We ended up using the fire guard as a temporary measure but not ideal. We used the oven many times to grill our breakfast. Whilst the kitchen is very well supplied in general, there is no grill tray so you have to add food to the main rack and position baking trays underneath, quite painful.

This place had so much going for it - very well equipped with everything you need, right next to town center, local parking, nice garden for the dog and chilling out. Can't really find much to fault about the place. Loads of stuff for the dog supplied as well which should be advertised better in the description as we ended up bringing lots of stuff we didn't need. Not a problem but be good to shout about that as it's such a bonus. We had no water for nearly 3 days (or a trickle) due to Southern Water ruining everyone's lives in Rye, Camber and Winchelsea. this was not the owners fault of course but it made the holiday a little more challenging. My rating is not based at all on this issue. Love the fact you can pretty much walk out of the door and go for multiple walks in any direction. Great for a short 10 minutes in the morning or a longer 1.5 hrs to Camber sands. Perfect if you have dogs.

Nothing major, however we had requested that the single beds were joined to make a superking bed, which wasn't done. We simply pushed the two beds together, which pretty much accomplished the same thing.

Excellent location for exploring Rye, with great facilities, especially the kitchen and lounge area which had a wood burner. This was very welcome as sadly we had rather poor weather. It was also great to have parking beside the property. And the Alexa controlled lighting was a fascinating bonus!

Difficult to say. The owners have invested a lot in updating the property. Yes the outside from the front is tired, but once inside everything is lovely.

Location is close to centre of Town (through the back gate) Whilst having a parking space at the front. (Rare for many cottages in Rye). Lots of Mod-cons and space. Great for those with dogs and if you want to have someone around for a meal or tea the Kitchen / Lounge is great for socialising.

Dirty sponge in bathroom, right on top of main road which was not specified in ad. The issue really is that it was in no way worth the fee we paid. Very disappointed.

    Not much.
