To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomOnly a small thing, the bar really was a nice area to sit and watch the world go by but on a few occasions it wasn’t open. Admittedly we were staying Sunday - Thursday so not very busy but on a couple of days after a full day of sightseeing it would have been nice to have had a drink back at the hotel.
Lovely staff, very helpful. Beautiful room with a very comfy bed. Bar area was lovely and the espresso martini was delicious! Good choice for breakfast which can be taken in your room which was very relaxing. The hotel is perfectly situated, so close to everything and it smelt amazing!

United KingdomI didn't like having to leave the hotel when my stay had ended. I was very tempted to ask how much it would be to extend my visit for another night
The staff were extremely helpful. All my enquiry calls were handled very well with good information. During the visit, all the staff were very friendly, courteous and eager to help. I accidentally overslept at breakfast and the staff were very understanding and even offered to have my breakfast brought up to my room which was exceptional (and very tasty!) The hotel itself is beautiful and very well maintained. All facilities/amenities were clean and working as intended and I had no complaints at all during my stay. The location on Castle Street is fantastic. Great location for access to the city, whatever your stay may entail. Pubs, bars and restaurants all within walking distance (even on the same street). Parking was discounted over 50% and staff provided very clear and understandable instructions on where to park nearby and how to claim the discount granted for hotel guests. Overall a very enjoyable visit and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a city break or an overnight stay - business or leisure! 5 Star - 10/10.
