    No complaints at all...

Nice spacey rooms, basic but ideal. Made to feel really welcome from the start. Very helpful, gutted we missed the breakfast but hopefully make it next time. Lovely location as well, great views. Top little place.

Just a bit far to walk into Ballyclare - you really need to take the car but there is good entertainment in the hotel.

Real quirky pub with rooms above. Lovely staff - all very pleasant and helpful. Meals were excellent - home made soup was just sublime. Good venue for Larne Ferry - easy drive from the pub to the port.

Decor looks tired and an absolutely tiny TV. In this day and age I would have expected a larger TV in a family room to entertain the kids in all honesty. We’d asked for a cot when we’d booked but on check in were asked if we wanted one. It wasn’t a major issue though as we’d packed our grandson’s into our car, so made do with that. Comfortable but a little dated. Beds very soft, but not sure if this is due to choice or age. Raging backache after trying to sleep for 2 nights, but maybe that’s just down to the fact it was too soft for me and nothing else. The mirror above the desk/ dressing table was rusty and doesn’t look good, plus the spiders had obviously had a field day before we arrived. There was also an obvious leak in either the bath, the pipes or the toilet as there was a constant puddle there. Food in the bar was very expensive for a place like this and over cooked. Beer was an ok price though

Stayed for 2 nights in a family room with our daughter and grandson. Staff couldn’t do enough to help out and the owner helped with lifting the baby’s pushchair up the stairs to get to our room. A good breakfast in the adjoining cafe.

There are so many doors between the sections of the building. I think this is mainly a local fire thing but it was a pain with bags. Otherwise we happy with the accomodation.

Nice small inn. It was really convenient to have the pub attached. There was a good breakfast in the morning and the staff was very nice.

    WiFi reception a little iffy

Firstly the wonderful staff. Secondly the size of the family room, it was huge and a proper family room with beds for children rather than a pullout sofa bed which made this a winner for us. Beds super comfortable. Oh, and certainly not last, the served cooked breakfast was delicious.
