The bed needs a new mattress . For me coffee making facilities are provided it means more than an electric kettle and instant coffee

There was no access to natural light in the room, it had a small ceiling window but it was covered over and would have needed to be opened on request. it would have been nice to have a bathroom on all floors as we had to walk downstairs in the middle of the night to find one. We had to wait to pay the damage deposit before we could access the room and there wasn’t really anywhere to sit in the entrance.

I liked the friendly staff and communication when coordinating a time of arrival. The property was very clean and it was nice to have amenities in the room. (Kettle, tea, coffee and a TV)

That there wasn’t a bathroom/ toilet on our floor.

The location was perfect for the celebration we were attending. The bedroom was warm and welcoming and had everything we needed for our stay, including a fridge and a fan. The bed was wonderfully comfortable with lovely sheets and pillow cases. The bathrooms were clean, fresh and well equipped.

Wifi didn’t work, so I couldn’t watch the TV. A woman tried to get into the main entrance without a key. There was a sign saying: Don’t let anyone in without a key. She was a bit rude to me, because I wouldn’t let her in as I was going out for the evening.

Being welcomed by the owner was a plus and knowing I had her phone number in case of difficulties, being a woman on my own, was good. It was very accessible to the town and the station on foot. I appreciated having my bed made & room cleaned in between the days of my stay. The room was very quiet, so I was able to sleep well.

Showers (or at least the one I used on the 1st floor) was a bit cold, although this wasn’t a problem with the one in my daughter’s room. Also the timers on the motion detector controlled lights in the bathroom were set to around 10 seconds, meaning that if you don’t keep moving then it suddenly gets very dark in there! Good energy saving but 30 seconds to a minute would be better.

Great location, only minutes walk from centre of town, but still quiet. Cheap parking in the car park opposite. Comfortable, clean and reasonably priced.

No hot water in the shared bathroom, the shared bathroom and toilet, the lack of a window in my room - there was a skylight but it didn’t open, being up two flights of narrow stairs (having to drag heavy luggage upstairs) and a weird little trapdoor in the wall of my room which didn’t close properly and had gaps all around it which made me think of all the creepy crawlies that could escape from there during the night. That made me a little anxious.

The bed was comfortable, tea and coffee facilities were provided, the room was clean, there was a tv, bar fridge, and sink in the room. There were bathrobes and soft towels. The room was serviced. The communication with the property was excellent.
