  • Hotel du Vin Birmingham Review Score: 8.2

“This is a very good city centre hotel, with easy access to all facilities. Big, comfortable room (we upgraded, for not that much, to a suite), great bed, and fresh milk in the fridge is a nice touch. A special shout-out to Daria in the Bubbles bar, who gave great advice on the lunch menu (and the food was excellent too). Parking is a 10 minute walk (from car to reception) at Snow Hill station, and £18 for 24 hours, so something to factor in.”

  • Radisson Blu Hotel, Birmingham Review Score: 8.1

    “breakfast was good”

  • “Great location. Handy for the bars and restaurants around the canal area. Attended a gig at the Symphony Hall for my husbands birthday only 5 minutes walk away. Would definitely stay here again.”

  • “Customer service was exceptional, duty manager was very apologetic when I raised an issue of a dirty toilet, then when the newly painted ceiling caused issues with flaking paint.”

  • The Briar Rose Wetherspoon Review Score: 8

“Lovely warm room, comfortable bed and a good shower. Couldn't get a better location for Birmingham city centre, and the price was fantastic with these things in mind. I expected some noise from the street but there was none at all with the window closed. No complaints.”

  • “very handy for the Hippodrome”
