  • “A weekend break for my father ( 86yo) and I. Great position on the mouth of the river, and just before the Isle and bridge, meant my day could watch the wildlife, fishing boats, ferries, trains and walk into town for food or drink. (He noticed a bus and train station which was frequently visited by cyclists and walkers.) Hotel was a tradition style from a bygone past. Owners were trying to renovate and update the decor. Personally, liked the dated/ history touch... Bakerlite door handles, cast iron sistern of the toilet and Art Deco style lamps but some will think it's too too dated. Standard Scottish-style breakfast included cereals, toast and/or fish and an evening food menu was available for those wishing to eat in! A bar and darts made for fun entertainment in the evening.”

  • “No beeakfast, the room was clean, but very small. The situation was perfect”

  • “Location and view , great shower and toiletries, very clean. Next door to a great Scottish pub, serving good food, The Glenelg inn.”
