The room was very small , Bed was hard Storage area for cloths is very small ,had to leave some of our cloths in the cases Bathroom was really very small and shower well below 4 star standard Generally outside the hotel in the old town we thought the food was pretty poor compared to Irish restaurant standards , when ordering you wouldn't need a started as they serve bread before the starter There are some restaurant bars close to the hotel opposite the Promenade and they are clean and reasonably priced , glass of white wine €8 but up in the old town square wine by the glass a particular restaurant for standard wine was €14.00

Location of the hotel is excellent and right across from Promenade Des Anglais which is beautiful for walks and just sitting on the numerous seats available. Hotel is only 20 minutes walk from the train station , return train for 2 people to cannes was only €25 for both of us and staff in train station very helpful with tickets etc . Breakfast was excellent and the break feast location was fantastic Choice of food was excellent Staff were friendly and very helpful

The first room we were given wasn’t what I expected from the photos but I spoke to the manger and he quickly sorted us out with a better room and from that point on everything was perfect.

Breakfast OK (breakfast menu could be improved though). Perhaps a renovation is needed. Our initial room had bugs. The staff responded very fast and changed our room.

We were so disappointed in the room size for a privilege double room. While the square meters of the room were on the site, the photos led us to believe there it would be spacious enough to move around comfortably. It was tiny!

Beautiful period building with charm and character located on the fashionable Promenade des Anglais. Close to the Old City and a delightful pedestrian zone full of restaurants, cafes and shops. The staff were so friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was beyond expectations with a variety of hot and cold choices. The whole hotel including our room was spotless and well maintained.

Room was clean but small I would say and the area of breakfast was too small for so many people staying at the hotel. One suggestion would be the area of breakfast to be elevated as the restaurant of the hotel to see this amazing view to Cote D Azure.

The issue for me was the fact that the air conditioning was non existent, and there was 0 ventilation in the bathroom (which made taking a shower an absolute nightmare). Also at the date of checkout, we had staff trying to come in at 9 am, really not ok.

So initially we had an issue with the air conditioning of the room. But after speaking to the person at the reception and explaining our problem we were able to change the room plus upgrade at a very reasonable rate. Location is also excellent plus the drink vouchers are also a bonus

Each time i have stayed the room I have been given is one step down in room quality from the last stay. This time I was at the back, with noisy units outside and small window. The kettle in the room did not work, it was not fixed in spite of two requests. The toilet cistern was leaking to the extent that the cistern was filling noisily every few minutes, which kept me awake. When I reported it to reception, it was obviously a common issue. Whilst it was fixed,, it is something which I would expect Housekeeping to report. Overall service not as good as previously.

Room was quite basic for 4 star hotel. View was horrible. Got to look down on roof with dead pigeon No extra facilities like gym or any partnership with a gym.

Regulating the room temperature proved difficult (too hot). But we were provided with a fan once issue was reported.

We have stayed at the Hotel West End on several occasions, and the staff are exceptional in their welcome every time - In the foyer area, reception desk, breakfast room and restaurant we could not have asked for better!

The ac was turned off and the room only had heavy blankets, making sleeping difficult.

The staff was very kind in helping carry bags or providing help as needed. The water front view was also amazing, we loved sitting on our balcony and watching the ocean.
