Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PortugalThe hotel does not have an elevator.
It is very well located, near to the train, metro and bus station. Near the Arc de Triomphe. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes near the hotel.

United StatesI requested and was confirmed to get a top floor room with a view, but had a window looking out on a brick wall and an alley and not on the top floor. However, with no lift and tight stairs leading to a tiny room, I'm glad it wasn't any higher of a climb. Staff helped with luggage though, so it was just us being worn out from walking all day that the final climb to the bed chamber was an inconvenience. There was also a loud and persistent whining equipment noise that was mostly cut down by the nice double pain windows. Finally, the street is closed to traffic and is a semi-permanent produce market, which is good in ways, but I was told i could drop off luggage and check in at the hotel then drive to a parking garage, but with further investigation via street view, i realized trying to get close enough to park and drop luggage was probably going to be more of a hassle than schlepping our luggage down the street a few blocks. Again, us being tired from jet-lag and walking this was only a hassle for us who pack too much.
Location; friendly, helpful 24-hour staff; nice breakfast though we didn't partake.

United KingdomNothing to comment on
Warm and friendly small hotel with charm and character , our room was on the 4 floor there’s no lift but staff helped us with our bags and the stair case was wide and not too steep. Comfy beds with a TV, en-suite. There was enough hanging space for two if you are on a long weekend break. Breakfast was excellent value , coffee, juice, cereal, warm bread/ croissants with jams, ham & cheese ( served between 7-10 am). The staff were very friendly and happy to give advice about places to eat and drink. The Hotel is in Poncelet on a lovely small street with cafes, market stalls, and lovely bakers and butchers . It’s about 5 mins walk to Ternes metro ( line 2) which is great for getting around the city & the Arc de Triomphe is 10 walk mins away. Overall great value for money & in a perfect location to explore Paris.

The location is fantastic, very close to the Arc de Triomphe. It is highly accessible, with the metro, rental bikes, and buses nearby.

BelgiumWe had informed upfront we needed to do a early checking as we had an event. Was ok if we paid a supplement. When arrived the room wasn’t ready so the staff tried to find a solution and gave us access to another room with a shower while they finished our room (that was a kind gesture even if it would have been nicer to have our room ready as requested in first place). There is no working WiFi in the place. The staff was a little intrusive (we were a little stressed as we have only short amount of time to get ready) but it felt a bit intrusive that he kept saying « you look stressed » and making couple comment making us feel uncomfortable.
Location is perfect. Room is very basic but has what it needs for a good short stay and price was among cheapest for that area. The location is really great. Couple min walk from arc de triomphe and champs Élysée, a little further but walking distance from the Eiffel tower . Nice little market with fresh fruit down the street (which created some noise in the room) but manageable. Room had everything needed. Many breakfast area, coffee place and lunch place around the area.

LithuaniaThe biggest drawback is the smell of sewage and chlorine from the toilet. Which was practically not weathered. I had to throw a towel on the drain and always leave the window open.

Location was perfect, room food value for money. Very good basic hotel for us. The staff of reception was so polite and nice. They stored out luggages before check-in and after check-out. Everything was just perfect. Would absolutely book room from this hotel again.

IrelandWe stayed on the top floor and the hotel has no lift, only stairs. Not unbearable if you don't have big suitcases.
The staff are very attentive and all speak english as well. The rooms were comfortable and cleaned every day, and they also changed the towels every day. The hotel offered, free of charge, to keep the luggage after the stay and I thought that was a very good point. The hotel is in a street full of bakeries, confectioners, restaurants and fast food, and there's also a fruit market, which is really nice. It's close to the metro and the Arc de Triomphe. I thought it was well worth it!

Everything ! it was really nice, the room simple and clean. Lots of light, deco minimalist, which I liked. My room was at the 6th floor but I didn’t mind that there s no lift. The Wi-Fi worked very well even up there 😊. Breakfast was simple but nice. The hotel is located a few minutes from the Champs Elysees in a quiet street. Running the show are brother and sister Tasslim and Chirine and they were super welcoming and smiling. I must admit I struggled a bit with my suitcase when I reached the 3rd floor but Chirine promptly sent a nice helper to my rescue, I really did appreciate this 😀

FranceThe most important thing was that the mattress was very hard. I hardly slept. The other thing is that the paint color which is very à la mode, a dark blue/gray was so dark that with the lighting which is subdued, it was very hard to see well.
It was clean and tidy. A very nice neighborhood with lots of shops and cafes.
