Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomBreakfast was limited, and generally restaurant experience wasn’t great; for some reason restaurant staff were not sure how to handle guests and often had to ask for plates, cups, etc

BelgiumYou can’t ski to the hotel (you have to walk a few meters). But this is only a minor inconvenience.
The hotel is very stylish and well laid out. The staff is extremely friendly and did everything to make us comfortable. As an example: I parked my electric car at the hotel (valet service) and they even charged my car without me asking. There is an excellent pool and sauna area in case you don’t want to ski or if you want to relax after skiing. The restaurant offers a great view of the slopes and mountains. The ski shop at the hotel was also very helpful and made it easy for us to pick the best rental equipment.

United KingdomAs above, nothing with the hotel just other thoughtless residents feeling its ok to leave used towels, uneaten food and drink around the pool when they are finished, rather than walking the 10 meters to return them!
Normally self cater, but booked VoulezVous for a change and wasn't disappointed. And first time in Le Lac as normally in Val Claret. Hotel is ideally located, just a short walk to the snow to board down to lifts. Our room was modern, cleaned daily and well equipped, apart from a lack of coat hooks and areas to hang up ski clothes to dry out. The restaurant was excellent (buffet breakfast especially) and great cocktails at the bar. Used the spa area most days, free saunas etc and for paid treatments both great, only issue was some residents approach in thinking its ok in not tidying up and leaving their used towels, provided drinks and food around the pool area when finished, didn't make the area that welcoming later in the evening. I'm not one for being fussed over by hotel staff but the friendliness, helpfulness and overall approach of all the staff, from the ski locker, to reception, bar and spa and at any time of the day was exceptional. Daniela on reception, Remy the valet (thanks for tips on off piste runs), breakfast dining room team and all in the ski locker staff are the stand outs for me. Had one issue regarding a mix up with a dining order, which Daniela quickly resolved when we checked out. So great holiday overall, thanks!

United Arab EmiratesWiFi was patchy at times in the room. Would have liked a bath (we were in a privilege room, so shower only)
We loved absolutely everything about our stay here as a family of four. I have never experienced such good service across the board, from the shuttle drivers, the front reception, the ski shop or the restaurant staff. Absolutely everyone was warm, welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. Food was excellent - we were half board. We had 2 dinners out during the week at L’Arbina and Les Terrasses and whilst the food was good, service there no where near the same standard at Voulezvous and the restaurant Il Savoia which we simply loved. Breakfasts were great with lots of choice. The staff at the ski shop were amazing. So good with the kids and so helpful when getting ready to hit the slopes or returning back. I highly recommend a stay here.

PortugalI did not like the idea that Half board had most meals except basic soup and chicken salad at extra fee. Normally it should be expected to include all foods and pay just for drinks if half board is offered. The fee is not big but it's annoying and not common from other countries half board hotels, usually buffet should be offered like in Austria or Italy and it's included. Room is very small, not as expected in 5 star hotel but after all we did not come to sit in the room, we came for ski so it does not matter! Indoor pool could be little warmer. (But jakuzzi is great temperature)
Outstanding service and staff. Everyone was exceptionally nice. Especially big compliments go to the legendary Ski guy!! He is such a fantastic person! He helped a lot and always went extra mile. Outstanding bar and lobby. Everything clean and modern, great show in the evening. Perfect location straight on the slope! Great idea to have a ski shop, everything is easy to rent just in hotel Big pool and jakuzzi and spa in hotel. Rooms new and clean Perfect for a short ski trip for the family! A lot of ski schools around.

United Arab EmiratesFrance still has a long way to go when catering for those with allergies. The menu was very limited for myself and the ingredients were not labelled on either the buffet or the menu.
There wasn’t one member of staff that stood out, they were all absolutely amazing, nothing was ever too much trouble.

United KingdomFood is nowhere near 5 star standard. Not enough dishes freshly cooked from fresh ingredients. Most dishes assembled from precooked items. Desserts were of poor quality and range.
Beautifully designed hotel. In house après ski with singers and dancers. Ski team very helpful in getting your equipment ready every morning and helping with boots on and off! Generally staff are always helpful and friendly.

United KingdomMinor gripe - Wifi in the room required frequent re-authentication... but it was free ;)
Very comfortable, especially the large bed! Breakfast and the spa were excellent. On the one occasion we dined in the restaurant, food was of high standard and good value. The service in the ski shop was exceptional but, that said, all the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful - thank you!

United KingdomNot a lot, only gripe would be for a 5 star hotel and the price it's not strictly ski in ski out.
Rooms are very comfortable, concierge service during arrival is excellent, bar and cocktails are great and the evening entertainment was good, good breakfast and the restaurant for dinner is excellent if a little limited on choice.

United Arab EmiratesLiterally the only thing negative on our stay was the egg chef at breakfast (who appeared to have had a charisma by-pass) !
The staff overall made our stay. They were incredibly helpful and polite and went out of their way to accommodate us (e.g. by the shuttle driver turning up 15 mins early on our departure day just to take us to the bus station). The two gentlemen in the ski hire and boot room were incredible (they literally helped my wife to put her boots on and take them off every day! I have never seen service like that anywhere else.

Czech RepublicWe spent a week in the hotel and could have not picked a better one! Nice, quiet and clean hotel with very friendly staff, tasty food and an amazing spa. There is everything under one roof. The hotel has a ski shop where you can hire your ski/snowboard so you don't have to go anywhere else. The staff at the ski shop could have not been more helpful. They were absolutely brilliant - they even help you to put your boots on and off if you want to! The staff at the reception are happy to organise ski passes for you as well. There is also valet parking which costs €28.00 a night. The food was delicious! We booked half board - continental breakfast with a variety of pastries and a 3-course meal for dinner. We could choose a starter and a main from the daily special menu or the standard one. Just drinks are not included and sometimes you have to pay a bit extra if you choose the meal from the standard menu but it wasn't a big deal. There was a variety of desserts or cheeses as well. After skiing (or if you want to skip a day of skiing) you can relax in the spa or book a massage. The spa area has a clean jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and swimming pool. Overall, very positive experience and I would 100% recommend this hotel!
