    Easy stay near Vieux Port

The bed was not very comfortable and didn't offer much in terms of privacy. Whenever I moved the bed made loud creaking noises and there was no curtain or anything else to make the space more private. Other hostels at similar price points have offered much better beds.

The hostel was in a very good location near Vieux Port and the reception was staffed 24/7.

Sadly the garbage didnt get refreshed in 4 days... but that is the only one what i can say worse.

Very close to the Meteo / Bus / Vieux Port. Nice house not the normal house for a hostel. Big Place behind the doors where can take place cars or some games with pther persons.

Good simple stay on transit with friendly staff and clean room, bed and bathroom
    • Leisure trip
    • Solo traveller
    • Single Bed in 4-Bed Mixed Dormitory Room
    • Stayed 1 night

My room in particular was just next to a common space. People gathered until after midnight and were loud. (But I expected this from a hostel anway. So no critique, but just for others to be aware.) The beds in my room were free-standing metal structure bunk beds without walls or other stabilizing elements. So if one person turns around, the one(s) on the other level(s) will definitely feel the shaking.

It was just what I had expected: a bed for a night between two trains. I was positively surprised by the cleanliness of the bathroom.

The wifi was pretty bad, it kept dropping out to the point where I struggled to send an email. There were no proper stoves, there were just 2 electric portable hot plates.

The location was fantastic! So close to the Old Port, near a metro station and walking distance to the Notre Dame. The room was massive and there were 2 decent sized kitchens. The staff were nice enough.

Rooms are very basic, in particular I was in a room at the last floor with only roof windows, very difficult to open and it was very hot during the day.

The hostel is perfectly located near the port and the bar/restaurant area. Friendly staff, nice facilities/bar etc.

If you are OK with dormitory living and bunkbeds than this is almost as good as it gets. I think there might be rooms too, but I didn't try them. /Ake

Cheap. Central location. All you can eat very basic buffe for 6€.

I wanted to get a bed, but it was with a badge already. I stayed there for three days and that bed was not occupied... Someone forgot the badge there and nobody got it out.

    The localization and the space.

Bunk beds although very comfortable, did not have privacy curtains. Towels not provided but rented which is a shame considering the price of the bunk.

Clean and comfortable 4 person room was very roomy, with private bathroom and WC. Wifi was excellent and the communal areas fabulous. Staff very friendly and obliging.

The hostel wrote to me before I stayed as there's no metro running late at my arrival time and I would have to take a taxi from the St Charles train station to the hostel. That could have cost me 20 unnecessary euros. Luckily I checked Google maps and took the night bus 521 which costs only 1,70 euro and it's only a 6 minute walk from the stop 'vieux port barrat" Breakfast was okay but very plain. Maybe increase to 8 or 10 euros and offer more fresh items and more variety ;-) I paid over 40 euros for a female shared dorm room, didn't get to sleep all night as a possibly drunk woman snored like 4 elephants so loud that even ear plugs wouldn't have been useless and it wasn't worth this price. Had much better comfort in a mixed dorm and better facilities in Lyon last night for half the price.

The 2 very good things about this hostel are the staff, especially the lovely Ambra and the location - close to the port and in walking distance to the Marseille soap museum.

The lights in the common rooms, lounge and kitchen are a little to dim.

The price is quite expensive for the hosted, it's nice but still feeling it's overrated and they don't offer towels even in that high price, you need to rent for 2 Euros

Location was good near to the sea but have to walk a little bit elevated road but it's Ok , the place is nice and clean and have enjoyable vibes

The staff was nice and the bathroom in the dorm room was clean. The location is the selling point. It is right next to Old Port, Marseille's city center, so your close to a lot of sites, and you can explore the night life without being too far from your accommodation. The hostel has a bar for lodgers to socialize. If you prefer/enjoy hostel living then this is a perfect good spot. Personally, I am not a fan of hostels but I stayed here because I only needed a bed for one night. Nonetheless, the space was clean and the dorm room was spacious.
