Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomLack of bedside plug sockets. Maybe just our room. Shower was coiled around the holder purposefully i believe, so when any water pressure was applied it became somewhat erratic and sent water in multiple directions and needed human intervention to maintain a more direct flow
Centrally located, with secure underground parking for 11 Euro's. Perfect location to walk into the centre of Tours and access to local restaurants and bars. Also, very good transport links directly outside if needed. We travelled with our dog and charged a very reasonable 9 euro extra for this. Everything was clean and as expected. Not much to fault.

RomaniaThe underground parking access is very narrow so I decided to cancel my parking reservation after first day in order not to scratch my car.

East TimorFor this trip we brought our cats with us and when checking in they requested us 9 euros/night/cat. The problem is not the cost, which is understandable, the fact that this wasn't mentioned before is what bothers me. The shower head was very old and not functional. To park in the garage takes a truly skilful driver since it's a very narrow entrance!
The staff was very nice and helpful.- we asked them to keep our ice packs in their freezer and they did as well as borrowing us a broom! They also gave us some nice tips on what to see. The location is very nice and within walking distance from the historical center.

BelgiumThere is an area to store bicycles in the parking garage of the hotel. The hotel is located walking distance from some nice restaurants and bars. Plenty of on street parking. You need to pay for parking on the street in front of the hotel and can only park for 2 hours before 6:30 pm. Parking on a Sunday is free.

United KingdomUnfortunately the secure parking was too narrow for our vehicle so we had to park outside on the road. Overnight our bicycles were stolen from our vehicle. Check your vehicle size before parking.

Handy hotel for a stop over in Tours. Car park on site, very tight to enter but big spaces once in. Spacious rooms, good Aircon. Not a modern hotel but what we needed for a 1 night stay in beautiful Tours

United KingdomTV had no european/english options(minor fault) but Euros football was on during out stay and the room decor was quite outdated, but everything functioned OK
Location was great as walking distance from most tourist areas. Parking was essential for us as we were on route for a wedding in Bordeaux and a lot of hotels advertise parking but then default to "parking available on the street for a fee" which wasn't an option for us. The garage was underneath the hotel so very secure but incredibly tight to drive in/out of. Breakfast was fine but the hot cooked items left a little to be desired.

AustraliaThe young man with gold glasses at reception was incredibly helpful to this English speaking couple! 🇦🇺 He even told us some nice places to eat, see & things to do in town for the one night we were there. Very much appreciated this, & extra good that parking was free overnight on the side street near the entrance.

United KingdomLarge picture above bed which was also a light was too low and I kept banging my head when I sat up in bed. The shower screen bottom seal was poor and caused the bathroom floor to get very wet. Also the shower head wld not stay in place (I stuck a plaster on the pole to stop it dropping). Wi Fi had no password. Booking stated a balcony but my room was over the awning of the hotel
Receptionist when I arrived was lovely. I had asked for a shower cubicle which they didn't have available only a shower over the bath . She said if I had a problem climbing in and out of bath she wld get me a small step to help. When I discovered broken hangers in room they replaced them right away. Reception, breakfast room and lounge looked lovely. Kettle in the room was very handy. Breakfast the usual with (sometimes) scrambled eggs and sausages. A NOTE TO GUESTS - if you are arriving my train and wish to use public transport from the train station walk across the square/garden opposite cross at the pedestrian xing with the Tourist Office opposite on your right and Conference Hall in front. On the pavement along to the left as you face the Hall is the bus stop.Buses 2 or 10 get off at Boisdenier (3 stops) which is right in front of hotel. If you intend using buses you can buy a 24hr (E4,10) or 48hr (E6.30) ticket from machines. Buying single ticket from driver cost a little more that from machine.

JerseyHotel is in a good location, just a short walk from a large selection of bars and restaurants around Place Plumereau. Onsite parking is a bonus, especially on a motorbike that you would rather keep somewhere secure overnights. Staff friendly and room was what you'd expect for the price - clean and functional.
