Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

NetherlandsHotel Touraine Opera offers a fantastic location, conveniently situated between Gare du Nord station and the Louvre Museum, providing excellent connectivity. The simplicity of the hotel adds to its charm, and the room was cozy and comfortable. The breakfast was simple yet delicious, and we especially loved the croissants and macarons, as did our toddler. Although our stay was short, after a busy day exploring Paris, we were delighted by the relaxing and comforting atmosphere of the hotel.

The hotel was beautiful boutique style, and the rooms were lovely and spacious in comparison to other hotels in Paris. Extra special touches from toiletries for your use to welcome messages from the hotel staff welcoming us. Lovely birthday surprise, too, with a bottle of fizz to help celebrate . The staff were extremely friendly and always there to help. Great recommendations made for places to eat and visit. Also advised how to travel around Paris. Honestly the hotel was above and beyond my expectations.

Very friendly, accommodating staff. The location was great - plenty of things to do within walking distance, but we appreciated that the street itself was quiet. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable.

The staff were exceptional. Super friendly and helpful and left surprise treats in our room every day including Olympics flags and fans (we were there to attend). While we didn’t have breakfast at the hotel the chef gave us bags of pastries which was a lovely surprise. Location is also fantastic.

United KingdomThe front door opening didn’t work to get in so sometimes had to wait if no one was on reception.
Great location. walking distance to Tuileries, central museums etc. And to the north walking distance to Monmartre and Sacre Coeur. lovely local restaurants and cafes esp Portuguese restaurant on corner and Rue des Martyrs. We were there for the Olympics and was perfect location. Great transport links as near the metro and some of the main stations.
