Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).

Perfectly located close to Le Panier, old and cool neighbourhood, and the Old Port. The People Hostel hosts nice people and also the staff was helpful, nice and always available. Defintely recommended!

Hong KongWe were staying in a twins bed private room. But the air-conditioner could not function well and no cold air came out. So, the room inside would always be so hot that it's hard to fall asleep.
It's convenient and got reach to most of the places by walking. It's close to the Marseille's main station and get there within 15 minutes on foot. It' close to the old port too. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

United StatesNo soap, dirty in places, half of private lockers are unusable or with broken hinges, not enough public toilets for a superhostel, drinking water should be openly availabled at a filter station, cramped neandering walkway... a fire hazard (broiling in the summer?), administration could be more warm, welcoming and forward in assistance guests.
Safe, accessible, bright, privacy in curtain bunk bed, drinking water by request, barman was terrific and friendly. Rating 7.9... the .9 is from the evening bar person.

TurkeyIn the bathroom there were no hooks on the walls and there was no place to put the clothes while having shower. And the lockers in the room were of weird size - looks big, but it was very difficult to store a standard carry on there. It almost didn't fit. Bring your padlock
Bed was comfortable and with 160 cm height I could stretch my legs comfortably. Curtain is really useful - feels private. The lighting was good as well, bright and adjustable - I could read, the room with 8 beds on the 1st floor was spacious, clean linen. Good wifi, fast check in and check out.

ChileStaff was not very kind, they did not offer any type of recommendation or help. No activities in the hostel, which makes it just a place to sleep. Ordered a drink and it was not good, nor they have ice at the bar.

IndiaThe bathroom and toilet in the room, while it was clean and well kept, was tiny with hardly any place to stand.
I loved that the rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable and had curtains for privacy and that there was an adjoining balcony to the room. Also other travellers staying in the room were lovely to talk to. We even went sightseeing together.
