Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe shower room and toilet room smell like sewer which is a big problem. The smell comes and goes and that is almost worse, especially with no ventilation fans. Whoever designed the apartment never actually used the space: there is nowhere to hang towels in the toilet room and the toilet paper holder is flimsy so the toilet paper falls off; not enough hooks or space for toiletries in the shower room; no dishwasher (which we hadn’t realized) and nothing specific for washing/drying dishes beyond one towel we eventually found. When you have multiple windows open, doors slam closed so doorstops would be great. Things we didn’t realize: The second bed in the smaller bedroom is a trundle situation and that room doesn’t have its own AC and you have to walk through the larger bedroom to get to it.
Fantastic location, big space, very comfortable, nicely decorated. Good AC, nice washing machine, nice big windows. It seems like construction is ongoing at the site but they’re doing a good job to minimize disruption to guests. Staff were responsive. The toilet room is tiny but it could be really cute with wallpaper or decoration.

United States1. Bad shower design. Water would splash onto bathroom floor. Constantly had to mop up after every shower. 2. Dryer would dispense water onto bathroom floor and leak into hallway. Constantly had to mop up. I messaged the property about this problem but no response. 3. Dishwasher was not fully attached to wall. Every time you open the dishwasher, it felt like the whole dishwasher would topple forward. I messaged property but no response.

SpainOn booking the property claims to have 4/5 stars, nevertheless the materials used in the renovation are not high quality. I would give it 3/5 stars. The property also does not include any services such as daily cleaning, although they offer assistance through WhatsApp.

United StatesThe building was in the middle of refurbishment, with people working right in front of the bedroom window at 8am. The metro line goes right below the flat and can be noisy. Some things were not working in the flat and were not fixed (table was wobbly, dishwasher couldn’t be fully open).
The location was amazing, size of the flat was very good for a family and having 2 bathrooms was really nice.

We could even see the top of the Eiffel Tower from the living room window, which was such a fun surprise! Loved that there was a washer and dryer, it came in very handy!

CanadaIt was STIFLING hot. Staff assured a fan was being sent over multiple times. It was unsafe to leave window or door open as unit is on ground floor and the door from the street to the courtyard was broken and wouldn't lock. Finally got 2 fans at 10 pm on last night! They over promised and under delivered. No light bulb in bedside lamp. No garbage can in unit. Cords from tv hanging down in a dangerous way - easy to trip on. Unit is tiny and the one closet is full of cleaners supplies. Nowhere to put your items.
Small kitchen was well stocked. Even had olive oil, salt & pepper. Brand new towels (bath and hand towel per person) and very comfortable bed. Was very quiet in a great location with transit and shopping steps away.

The appartment was perfect and so comfortable! The two bedrooms allow for a really private and spacious environment and it was completely renovated and beautiful. Exactly like the pictures and even better than we expected. It has heating and AC, washer and dryer and a small but very new and efficient elevator. Also amazing location in one of the best areas in Paris.
