James and Matthew are wonderful hosts, very pro, very warm and welcoming, beautiful facilities and the breakfasts are absolutely the best we've ever had anywhere!

We’ve had a really nice holiday here. We stayed in the suite with its own private terrace, which has a great view and is fantastic to spend your evenings. Matthew is also a great host, who makes delicious breakfast and has nice tips for things to do in the area. The location is ideal to see all the castles of the Loire valley.

Lovely place on the countryside. The host Matthew is a lovely person, very nice and helpful. The interior shows a lot of attention to details. Beautyfully decorated. Comfy beds as well. The breakfast is absolutely perfect! We loved this place and will return if we come back to this area in France.

James greeted us at the gate, when we arrived. We immediately felt like we were valued guests. Every effort was made to make us feel welcome. The rooms were very clean, and the beds were comfortable. We ate dinner both nights we were there, and the food was some of the best I have had. Matthew is an incredible chef. I would definitely return.

A little slice of heaven in the middle of Loire Valley where you are pampered with great food made by chef Mathew , amazing cocktails prepared by James and an overall amazing stay where you are with no worries , carefree just like the name of the b&b implies. You can reach various objectives and James has some great recomendation for what to visit inlcuding some hidden gems.

All was great but I would have loved a big bath in the bathroom (only shower).

The rooms are spotlessly clean and nicely renovated. They are very comfortable. The staff were extremely attentive and very nice and helpful. The food (we had dinner at the B&B) was absolutely devine! Way better than most restaurants! Great quality, taste and serving sizes. Highly recommend the dinner to anyone that books. Great pre-dinner cocktails too!

The stay in this BB is unforgettable! A cozy place with wonderful food and personalized service. A great location for exploring the area by car. We hope to return as soon as possible. Oh, a don't forget to buy lots of boxes of macaroons, the best we've ever had!

Our room was spacious with its own private entrance. Breakfast was prepared to order by an award winning chef. Dinner could also be ordered from the chef which we did. Each dinner along with the overall high quality of service was outstanding and made this stay uniquely special.

There was nothing we did not like.

The two guys were outstanding in every way: even met us with an umbrella because of the light rain. Their story of the B&B was very interesting. Matthew its a master chef and it showed in his outstanding dinner and breakfast. We plan to visit for longer next year.

Everything was fantastic!

The host, James, was friendly, accommodating, and helpful. He suggested a very nice wine with the dinner we ordered (a not to be missed option when staying at Sans Souci) and then told us how to get there, gave a person to contact, and also suggested a chateau to visit in the area. As a result, we came back with more wine. Both James and Matthew are extremely personable. Matthew, the chef, came out and explained each dish. We tried a number of them over two evenings and they were all fantastic. The house is very charming and they have done a fantastic job with the renovations. Extremely comfortable beds and the location is perfect. Close to Chenanceau and midway in the Loire Valley makes everything accessible. Highly recommend!

The owners James and Matthew have poured their heart and souls into San Souci. James’s attentiveness to welcome you and to make sure your stay is pleasant is beyond any place I’ve stayed at. Matthews culinary expertise is exceptional. Best Salmon dinner of my life. Beds were super comfortable. Great Loire Valley location. Breakfast was over the top! Stay here!

There wasn't anything that we didn't like! It was perfect!

Our on site hosts, James and Matthew, we’re exceptional. From the moment we arrived until we left, we were treated like royalty! The bed and breakfast is absolutely gorgeous, and James was gracious enough to tell us it’s history. The room was comfortable and charming, updated modern bathroom, and private entrance to a patio. Breakfast was unreal! It’s the best breakfast I’ve ever had! Matthew's crepes were the best I had in France! The location was very central in the Loire Valley, but felt like we were a world away from it all!

Beautiful and comfortable b&b in excellent location accessible to châteaux and local villages. Good sized rooms in quiet rural hamlet with good linen and comfortable beds , and a nice bathroom. Excellent food cooked on premises to high standard in pleasant surroundings. Hosts most welcoming and dedicated to making their guests’ stay a memorable one.
