Small family run hotel a short five minute walk from Chinon. Large well appointed room. The breakfast spread was really nice. Very welcoming hosts.

Excellent hotel. The owners could not do enough for us and made sure our stay was excellent. Beautiful hotel setting with a lovely garden and really nicely furnished rooms. We stayed two nights and had a great night's sleep both nights. Very comfortable beds. Ample street parking for free nearby if you could not get one of the spaces outside the hotel. Breakfast was amazing! A short walk into Chinon Town over the bridge. Hotel was ideally placed. If in the area again, it would be our first choice of hotel. Absolutely beautiful hotel, we really enjoyed staying there

Clean and modern. Friendly staff. Good value. Close to the river (a quick walk across bridge to main part of town) but also an excellent libernaise restaurant just around the corner.

The breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed both the food and the ambiance of the breakfast rooms. There was enough variety in the foods to satisfy everyone in our party of four. The staff here is amazing. The hotel is small and they do a great job accommodating guests. There is a wonderful courtyard that is ideal for relaxing at any time. Room was small but with very comfortable beds and very clean. I would stay there any time again and again!

The Rive Sud is a beautiful family-run bed & breakfast in walking distance to the charming little town of Chinon. It is located near the bike route "la Loire à Vélo". All rooms are clean and tastefully decorated. We could leave our bicycles in safe shelter on the premises. Breakfast is lovely with homemade yogurt, fresh bread and viennoiseries. Rudy and Mathieu are very nice and happy to help finding a good restaurant nearby. They did everything to make our stay an unforgettable experience - thank you so much for your hospitality!

Parking in the street, some spots reserved for the hotel guests, although hotel description implies the on-site parking. I had no problem finding space but it may be difficult during the busy day.

Friendly staff, modern, comfortable room, breakfast OK, good starting point to explore the town- just short walk over the river to reach the old town centre. Internet worked fine.

We really enjoyed staying at the Hotel Rive Sud, Chinon. The lady who greeted us was incredibly helpful and pleasant. The location is perfect, the view from our room was charming and we enjoyed comfort, peace and quiet.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

Everything was excellent. The location is perfect. A short walk into the beautifully serene Chinon. The welcome we received was so lovely after our long drive and the accommodation is superb. The garden has been created with such love and attention. The breakfast was delicious. Cannot fault this delightful gem.
