Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe kitchen prep area is very small although the facilities in the kitchen are good. There is only one small ish sofa which for two of us to sit on was fine , there was also another chair. But for 6 people this communal sofa space would be too small .
We had one of the two bedroom apartments for three of us. This worked really well as we didn’t want anyone to be sleeping in the lounge. It has a double height ceiling in the lounge/kitchen so lots of light. The floor space was bigger than quite a few others I came across and it was good to have the separate loo (although would have been nice to have a small hand basin in there ). The location was very good - close to the ski down to the Les boisses bubble and close to the spar shop and bar/restaurant. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the spa area was very nice to use at the end of the day.

United KingdomSlightly abrupt staff, hidden charges (underground parking which is not explained anywhere, taxes, €15 for the laundrette), and a €400 deposit, which is sprung on you with no prior warning.
Fantastic facilities in a stunning location.

United KingdomThere wasn’t a wash hand basin in the toilet and very little food preparation surface in the kitchen. The bath/shower could have had a non slip mat.
Location outstanding

United KingdomParking needs to be booked in advance/charged and even though email communication before the trip this was never mentioned. Lost key was charged at 144 euros 🤷🏻♀️
The chalet was very well presented and had all the resources that was needed for your stay.

United KingdomIt was difficult to find in the dark, the name of the building not obvious. No information in apartment regarding location of bins and recycling areas. Not obvious that pool and leisure facilities were in a different building.
Good location. Warm and clean.

United KingdomThis particular CGH has lots of separate buildings and the reception is located in its own building..as is the pool and spa. You need walk back to your apartment outside after you have had a spa or swim. To get to and from our particular apartment, we had two separate lifts and corridors, a walk through an underground car park plus an outside walk every time we wanted to go to spa or reception. The residence should not be advertising heated boot lockers as they are not. A lot of people in the locker room had cold, damp boots in the morning. I started to take mine back to the apartment every night to warm them for the next day. The spa area is equipped with multiple steam and sauna rooms but they only had one of each open, which meant that they became far too crowded. This could have been solved if they opened all their available facilities.
Apartments and bedrooms are spacious…but we always book for 6 if a party of 4 so that we don’t have to use the sofa in lounge as sleeping area. Apartments have everything you need. Beds very comfortable and soft bed linen. Bus stop outside reception with free shuttle to take you to Tignes 2100 which runs on a regular basis. Ski rental place is right next door to hotel. Also able to purchase ski passes from office located in grounds of property. There is a very well stocked Spar very close to hotel. Reception staff polite and helpful.

United KingdomThis is an apartment and not a hotel as billed, so do not expect any fripperies. There’s no turn down or cleaning during the stay. The front desk closes in the evening quite early. Bring some loo roll with you as they provide only one roll and you don’t want to be caught short! Washing costs €15 and there was only one washing machine working during our stay. The pool was nice but a little cold. It also closed at 8pm. The apartment was fine. The beds were comfy and the linen was good. Lots of wood, a bit of a garden shed vibe. I don’t think I’d want to sleep on the sofa bed - it looked very mean and the sofa was quite uncomfy. At the end of the stay we were told to strip the beds, remove all rubbish and clean or expect a hefty charge. I could have stayed at home for this pleasure and not paid £2k! Check out is 10am, which felt a little brutal! I was told at check in that the car park was included in my booking fee. At check out I was hit with an extra €100 fee for the car park and local taxes.
A good base for a week of skiing. The village shop was great but makes Waitrose look cheap! The bar and restaurant were lovely. The food was the best we had all week.

United Stateshard to say, maybe that the pool signage was a little hard to follow.
absolutely everything at your fingertips for a family. The magic carpet, grocery store, ski rental, pool, laundry, and more were all within a stones throw. ideal for a family with small children. Having a small kitchen was huge too!

United KingdomUpon arrival, check-in was quite stressful. The staff did not provide us with a key and told us to walk up the stairs to find our apartment. This was not the case. The building for weekly lets is a far walk to reach your apartment. In the snow and with luggage and three children in tow, it was a difficult journey after such an extended check-in period, and then finding out the woman in reception did not give us a key, we were pretty annoyed. As for the area Tinges, 1800 is a tiny area. There is no chemist or cash machine, so you will have to travel to Tignes 2100 if you need any additional items. The Spar in the area is beautiful, and there is a convenient ski hire in the building. The rooms are tiny. We were in a superior two-bed apartment that looked out over the highway and was in a corner unit. The dishwasher kept on overflowing into the sink, and there was water all over the apartment. We were told three times someone would be up to fix it, but no one ever came. I was then forced to purchase four towels at €6. We have stayed in Tignes for many years now, and this is the first time I'm genuinely disappointed in our accommodation. The pool is very nice for a young family but a fair walk from the apartment. The main restaurant 1800 is costly for what it was, and the food in the pub on site was poor. The pizza restaurant is the best place to eat in my opinion. The pizzas are decent, and they have an excellent wine list. All and all I would not recommend this place. When we arrived home, I received an email from reception that there was an empty water bottle and toothpaste on the sink counter in the bathroom, and they would be charging us €95 for additional cleaning costs. It clearly states in the contract that cleaning is included in the hire price, and to think after all that we went through while we were there with no kitchen sink for three days, sums up just how arrogant the staff is.
The pool and the facilities were very nice and the ski in ski out feature is a bonus but everything else that is associated with the area is pretty poorly in my opinion.
